I saw another video, where they had added a thin paracord between their poles, stretching up the top ridge of the outer tent, lifting it from the inner tent! I think that would solve the condensation dripping trough!
@Onebackpackeach

Woo, sounds like a nice suggestion! Indeed, if the outer tent can be slightly lifted, the condensation will not seep through the inner tent but will drip along the roof of the outer tent.. this will be my next improvement 😀

Hai... Senang sekali dgn cerita perjalanan kalian, begitu keren!. ..Sungguh menginspirasi!. Amankah nginep di tenda di alam bebas? Aman kah? Bgm dgn kemungkinan dari binatang buas?
@Onebackpackeach

I took an old pool noodle and used scissors to cut a half inch thick to 3\4 piece and used shoe goo and glued it to the center of the ridge , that spacer allowed for enough airflow. Boom no more condensation problem. I liked your cloths line you rigged up, i will need to do that now. Thanks for posting you video.

Oh wow, that's super creative! You managed to avoid condensation even in colder conditions? I noticed that the condensation issue got especially bad during colder nights 😕 The cloth line is nice too, extra place to hang stuffs 😀😀

Whats the difference between the pro version?
@Onebackpackeach
2 жыл бұрын
Hi, to be honest we cannot tell you for sure since we don't have the pro version. But from what I've read, you have to seam seal the pro version yourself, and apart from more color variation, the original version will probably be suitable for most camping conditions.

But now I like it a lot. Especially when we wakes up in the middle of beautiful places. Good luck with your tent journey. Wish you a lot of fun 😀😀

Any idea on how to avoid the condensation issue? some option to loosen the inner tent a bit, so it won't be in touch with the ceiling?
@Onebackpackeach
3 жыл бұрын
Hey.. maybe it's indeed an idea to make the connection between the inner and outer tent longer, so the outer tent can sit marginally higher than the inner tent.. something we will look into.. 😬😬 and another thing that may help is to remove the mesh right underneath the vent (black part) of the outer tent to allow better circulation, but we haven't tried that either..
@1patriot1776

Pitch the tent with more ground clearance between the bottom edge of the rainfly (outer tent) and the ground. This will allow for more air flow and can help with some of the condensation.

It is interesting listening to you speak about the condensation... I have been thinking a lot about single vs double skin. I even got a cheap single skin tent to try out. If condensation is a problem even in double skin version maybe it is better to go with the single skin after all, and have a towel handy to wipe the inside of the tent first thing in the morning? I would be interested in your thoughts. Because its nice that the inner is there to protect you from most of the drips but it also stops you from wiping it away before it drips. Have you considered the Pro version?
@Onebackpackeach
3 жыл бұрын
Hey2.. I actually had the same thought about the single skin tent, just accept the condensation and wipe it off in the morning. Because anyway that what I've been doing too many times even with the double layer tent 🙄 on the other hand, when it was kinda windy during the night, we had no condensation since the humid air inside is constantly replaced, and I don't know if that would be the case with the very closed single layer tent (I need to see the design).. I have not looked too much into the Pro version, but I still don't think the condensation issue would be less there. I saw many people with fancy expensive tent having the exact same condensation issue no matter what shape their tent is 😅
