Yup, all us 80s babies got the best of all eras. The throwbacks from the 70s, the grooves of the 80s, the changing of the guard in the 90s, and the rise of the internet in the 2000s. We was there for all of that stuff. The reason why music like this dont get made today i think people don't love each other like they used to.

Who is dissing Melvin as a singer? I personally prefer Kevon as an overall singer seeing is that you very rarely come across someone who sings like him. His range is phenomenal. When he sings, even acapella, there always sound like music is behind him. And he has always been a consistent performer. he takes risks with his voice which is what a real musician does. He's a top vocalist. With this performance, watching Kevon, I think he's turning himself on with how good he sounds. Look at him.

Damn I really love this live performance. Makes me miss Melvin even more now that he is gone from us for good. Reading through the comments here I'm a bit irked by this whole Team Kevon vs. Team Melvin thing. Can we not just agree that they both had amazing voices that complemented each other so well. It was the essence of the success of After 7. They both blessed us with their gift. And I thank God for that.

BOYZ TO MEN WERE GREAT TOO, JUST TWO DIFFERENT STYLES. BOTH GROUPS WERE GREAT VOCALISTS, AND NEEDED FOR THOSE TIMES. After 7 and the Edmonds Brothers ... Jimmy Willians said it best, they are truly UNSUNG. one of RnB's finest vocal groups ever, plus this live video proves that they could hold their own, live on-stage. Great Choreography, a blend of Blue Magic, Delfonics, New Edition and The Temptations. Don't get no better than that ...
