I like how you seem to be one of the few animation channels that don't seem to have an ego. Most of the channels and animators seem to have a condescending heir in they're tutorials.

ONE tiny suggestion, add a subtle film grain layer, using multiple, and lowering the opacity. THAT would make it nearly perfect! AWESOME tutorial! Seriously!

wow not bad!! really looks like an animation from the 80s. i wish there were more softwares to make it possible for us to achieve that cel animation look, i'm so tired of the generic digital art visuals

SAME! I can't comprehend why people enjoy the look of animated tv shows nowadays. The character designs and the flow of the animations coming out today are embarrassing to say the least.

Even though I don't use the programs listed for what I work on, this is still INCREDIBLY helpful! Just knowing the things I need to achieve and how they should look have helped me a bundle, they can be achieved with alternative programs they just might take a bit more manual effort (though I would recommend anyone with AE use that if they can). Needs a little grain. Movie film before 1990 had grain particles twice as big as after. That and digital ink and paint made animation go really clean.

@@peascoutpesante9456 it won't show on KZitem I guess but films made after around 1990 Kodak invented something called t-grain which cut the grain in half for same light sensitivity.kinda like going from a high ISP to a low ISO on a modern camera.

Which version do you use? Standard TV Paint or the Professional version? Would it be better to just purchase the standard or does the Professional version have features I shouldn't miss? I'm about to shake KZitem with my animations!

I use Professional - i got it with a discount when I was still at school. Honestly if you have after effects, and you plan on using both tvpaint and after effects and photoshop to make content, you don't really need the Pro.

After Effects and Adobe Animate CC go hand-in-hand. Adobe animate would be for animating your characters and after effects would be for any effects you want to add afterwards like lighting and more
