They should sue the school district. If someone's home was in that condition the children would have been removed by social services.

Months? That amount of disrepair didnt happen in months , it has taken years , years of neglect , lack of proper maintenance , regular repairs , regular upkeep etc . It is absolutely sickening , disgusting and unacceptable and not 1 school in any neighborhood in any town or city should look like this or even close to it . smfh

“Why do you record everything” this is why… it took for it to go public for them to even think about doing something.. mold, rust and those conditions didn’t happen over night..I’m sure many have said something about this before it went online..

Druid Hills isn’t the only one … Guarantee half out of the 21 high schools in Dekalb face similar problems. As a MLK graduate I can say we had the same things going on

This is what happens to school buildings and infrastructure people when you don't want to pay higher property taxes or taxes period This school opened in 1919 and was in the works for renovation like the reporter stated. However if there was an objection with the use of funds for one school that could have benefited more students this is the process. They can easily just go in and fix the basic stuff but they were going to do a major overhaul of the school BTW how many countless Schools in minority areas are in same disrepair as well .I can answer it for you..Dozens!

Thats because tax payers are wasted on keeping thugs in prison & fixing property damage from all the riots & burnings that the unemployed keep doing

Some folks are so anti-tax, they would rather have the schools in their home district be unsafe for children, especially when they have no kids that attend those schools.

People are already paying 40% of their income in taxes when you include every single tax that we pay. With inflation if you raise taxes people will have a harder time paying for other things. Should we just give the government 60% of our check? The question is what are they doing with the money that they already collect?

I am a career educator and I always find it interesting how school board members will not blink an eye when spending money in improving sports facilities but doing basic maintenance or purchasing new text books or upgrading a science lab is not as important.
