I loved Once Upon a River and The Salt Path, Sherrie. It was so nice to see Greenway! It reminded me of when I was teaching on a summer school in Paignton about 20 years ago (is it really that long??!!😯) and went on a boat trip up the River Dart as part of the Round Robin. You can see the house among the trees from the river. What a fantastic spot to have a house! 😍🥰

Agatha Christie has always been one of my favorites - thanks for sharing your tour! I really enjoy you sharing your daily life. Especially love that your children love reading, as my son and his children also love reading and they can't wait to go to the library, used book store or thrift to find new books to read and enjoy.

Thank you for taking us along on your outings - the scenery is so pretty! Do try the cornbread recipe! Cornbread and spoonbread are on my table every week in the fall and winter. I have a favorite cornbread recipe (Tassajara Three Layer Cornbread) made with coarse ground cornmeal, white flour and stone ground wheat flour where the different textures create three layers - like bread, custard and cake.

I love Greenway! When we went it was a busy time of year and we booked a parking space as we had my mother with us but in the end we took the ferry and it was a fantastic way to approach the property. Sad I couldn't get to the boathouse but we did have a bit of a walk in the garden. Great views!! Thanks for showing your visit.

Thank you Sherrie for another lovely vlog. A real treat watching whilst knitting and enjoying a cup of tea, bliss. I love seeing different areas and you live in a very pretty place. I have added Greenways to our list of places to visit. I have just reserved The Salt Path audio book on Borrowbox following your recommendations. I will look forward to your next vlog whenever that is, fully appreciating all the work that goes into producing them. Thank you. 😊

I have the battery powered candles. They are brilliant. The flame flickers and they are on a timer so no need to worry about blowing them out. I bought them for Christmas and they seem to last for quite some time. The Salt Path is an excellent read, well I listened to it walking the dog. I keep meaning to find the audible version of The Wild Silence.

Great Vlog! Those fat candles you showed are very similiar to ones I bought in the States. They need 2 "D" batteries, and actually last about 2-3 months! The timer you can set whenever and lasts about 4 hours! I have read Daphne Du Maurier's Rebeca twice! Loved it. I might dive into her others! The Catch sounds good!

They do have the most fantastic shop there though! Smiled to see yout mitred blanket as I was working on mine as I watched. Started only a week ago and I try to do a square a day. Dear Sherri, speaking of those candles, we use them all the time that’s all we use. I haven’t had a real candle for a long time and if I do, I just keep it in the drawer with my underwear is something in make things smell good but very seldom used real candles with real trade of fire, and they old and forgetful. It’s not a good idea so try one you’ll love it they last forever Anna, did you grab my way to 8:13
