Out of the books I've read of Agatha, (Towards Zero was the first one I read), I recommend the following books that one should read: 1.)Five Little Pigs - Definitely, MUST read!! Out of the books I've read, I'd say hands down, this is the best! 2.)And Then There Were None - This book has so much suspense. 10 people stranded on an island on a vacation/party, and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM dies one by one leaving a baffling mystery behind. Just the premise of the book should be enough to get you hooked on! 3.)Crooked House - This book is what made Christie a great crime writer in my opinion. The end of the book ought to surprise you! It goes to show how flexible Christie was as a writer. 4.)The Murder of Roger Ackroyd - Since this is one of Christie's earlier books, you can really see Christie as a more amateur author compared to her later years. She's much more generous with the clues in this one. But again the plot twist is shocking. 5.)Towards Zero - Again a nice read. In general, I find that there's no bad Christie, either they are good or they are better. Her writing style was just amazing. The way she breathed life into characters or rooms was just marvelous. The way she ended her books always felt perfect, it felt like every jigsaw puzzle piece falling in the exact position to give the perfect picture. Of course, not being a Britisher, some of her allusions and innuendos just went right over my head, but they go to show just how much knowledgeable she was. I just found some of her books pertaining to adventure rather than murder mystery to be a bit boring.

REALLY OUTSTANDING .. MUST READ!!!! I consider this as one the best novels that I have read..Wow.. It was really an amazing work done by Agathe Christie..It really gave me a good experience of reading and I was happy to spend it on this worthy novel. It is highly recommended to all crime lovers, and if there is no crime lovers, they will become one by reading this masterpiece. The novel itself started with the murder of Mrs. Ferrars and how her suicide linked with the Roger's murder will definitely make everyone not to do anything than to read and finish this outstanding novel as soon as possible to know what's the reason behind the murder and who the murderer was..As Agathe Christie always reveals the truth at the end with the total twist , I was literally dumbfounded by the way how Hercule Poirot discovered the murderer with his stupendous and brilliant little grey cells. Every line, every angle leads towards the resolution. Seriously, I never really expected the murderer in the least until the very end even after when Hercule gave his theories unless he finally said the name of the murderer which will of course make not only me but everyone totally dumbfounded. When I read. I doubted everyone but I never suspected the murderer and if any readers did ,Christie smoothed away theirs doubts with her fantastic language. I'm wondering how did Christie come up with such a great idea? ..I really loved this book and I'm pretty sure to give it a second reading, to relish her elisions.

SPOILER ALERT I just finished as well. It may be interesting if you say at which point you started to suspect against dr sheppard. When Poirot starts to make inquires about Sheppard's patients asking his sister Caroline I think it is quite obvious he does not completely trust him. The way he reacts to Poirot is quite odd as well, assuming at that point that Dr Sheppard was clearly innocent for the reader. He seems aneasy and makes some infortunate comments against poirot annoyed by the fact that poirot suspects, in spite of being reasonable and relax knowing that poirot was requesting any kind of information about evreybody, which is something that any reasonable person who is not guilty of the murder must understand, as should have been the case of dr sheppard. I still feel that, though there were some small references in the diary of sheppard about his method and some tiny details against himself, I have somehow been cheated. It is very subtle the way the book is developed till the very striking end but I still have a sense of being introduced all of a sudden too many facts that turned the case into dr sheppard inevitably. Anyway I very much enjoyed reading it.
