Imzabiyen are branch of the powerfull indigenous Berber tribe of iznaten (Zenata or Zénètes) whose members are also located in Libya in the Nefusa western mountains, on the coast in the cities of Zuwara, Tripoli, Az Zawiyah & Misurata, in Tunisia in the island of Djerba, mountains of Matmata, Tataouine, Zrawa At Azru in Tunisia, and in the Ouarsenis mountains in Algeria, wilayas of Médéa, Tissemsilt, Aïn Defla, Chlef, Relizane, Tiaret) .
