This is such a great video. I didn't even know bull dogs could act like this. It is amazing that they went from attacking each other to sitting right next to each other. How did you go about getting them relaxed and not in such of an excited state of mind? They really seemed out of control and then at the end they were sitting right next to eachother with thier owner. Great job!!!

@theguythatcouldfly We did work w them a bit before eachotherr..also the muzzles were used for safety. i could have gone w o them but the goal was to have the owners practice everyday and i wanted them to have them close confidently..the dogs were living lives separately in the house which is why we worked on showing them how to get them to co exist. in my opinion using "food treats" right away would have been a huge mistake..there were other fundamentals that needed to be addressed first

@HKBaller27 I'm all about helping families with dogs that have lost hope. But I'm totally against acting like a bully towards a dog. It's not about bribing - it's about being 100% positive. You don't have to use treats 24/7, but it sure would help to use it more. If you say "go get it" to a tree, clicking and treating afterwards would make the proccess happen much much quickly. And if you could try typing in full english, I would sure appreciate it.

I don't find English Bulldogs to be a particularly dog-friendly breed. Usually they just ignore other dogs' greetings (stand there motionless or turn away and walk off) rather than be outwardly aggressive, but I've seen a fair few snarling snapping bulldogs too (their owners tend to be responsible so they have always been on leash thankfully). Rarely you get a stump wagging, happy-to-greet-strange-dogs individual but compared to the ones who don't seem to like other dogs they are in the minority.

@DreamComeTrueK9 You can teach a dog that lunging is unwanted while still being 100% positive. It's being positive that gives a dog a choice - listening to people is better than lunging. If you use positive punishment, you're not teaching the dog to want to do another behavior. You're just surpressing desires. CHANGE the desire! Please starting watching KIKOPUP videos again.

@lindzlove5, actually while I know it's punishment. Millan and his little clone Blake try to sell correction as something good that the animal wants. Among more advance trainers, correction means additional information (eg. like a pointing signals along with a voice) that allows the animal to make the correct decision

@lindzlove5 These are NOT dog training videos. Blake is NOT a trainer, he is a dog walker. He had no formal education, training, or certification. And you don't have to kick dogs to be a bully. He supports The Dog Kicker, and probably really wants to find a dog he can kick. Forcing a dog to sit, jerking on the leash, using a prong collar, are all classic signs of a bully.

im sure dctk9 understands that in order 2 get ur approval, he wld have 2 have treats on him 24/7, to constantly bribe the dog when hes on the couch 2 come dwn 4 a treat (so that the dog can run back up again knowing that when u want 2 get him dwn youll make him do something that requires a negotiation 4 a treat). Truth is however that this is not abt getting your vote. Its abt saving lives n helping families w dogs that have lost hope...mostly bc they tried treating 4 evrything n it didnt wrk

@theguythatcouldfly this has already been established b4. WHat Cesar n Blake do, cannot be compared to someone like kiko. apples 2 oranges mostly bc of the fact that she does not work with severe problematic dogs. she is wrking w fluffy dogs w zero or minor issues. Blake has already stated before that dogs at neutral levels or above often have certain basic fundamentals addressed where they can flourish n learning trick like behaviors (similiar to what kiko teaches w her clickers n treats)

@DreamComeTrueK9 we get it...ur abt 100% positive..and tricking the dog into thinking that everything that he does is just fine and dandy....but the problem w that is that the dog doesnt no any better and has no comparison...redirecting a dog away from another w food when its leash aggressive, only makes the dog make a decision for the food and does not teach the dog that lunging and going for the other dog aggressively is unwanted. youd just be getting a dog to listen to u bc u have food

Omg. Blake I need your help with my 2 girl bulldogs. They are sisters and fight constantly. They’ll be 4 in Sept and I need help bad. I’ve been bitten so many times breaking them up. They don’t mean to bite me- they’re trying to bite each other when I get bit. But I’ve been bitten so bad, that now one of my fingers have nerve damage and I have scars all over my hands and arms. I’ve been bitten down to the white meat and tore wide open. This last time I had to get stitches it was so bad. Anyway, they mainly fight when my girl Fergie is sitting with me and she thinks Paislee is getting too close to me. Or when Paislee jumps up on me when we first get home, Fergie is like the disciplinarian and will attack Paislee as in to tell her to get down and stay down. We call Fergie the Security guard- bc it’s like she watches and waits on Paislee to mess up and if she hears us correct Paislee or tell her to stop doing something or tell her No, Fergie will come bully her and jump on her as if telling her to stop. It’s crazy and it has me a nervous wreck and I’m sure they feel my energy which don’t help. We have a total of 5 English bulldogs, their Mom & Dad and them, and we just got a new 4 month old little boy. Fergie has even attacked and snapped at him for coming too close to me. It’s like she thinks she owns me and sees me as her property. Can you help me? Is there help for this situation? && Is there any hope for them?? Please help😫 You did such an amazing job with these 2 dogs in the video and make it look so easy. But I’m sure it wasn’t and took time and lots of patience. Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated🙏🏼🐾 Thanks, Ashley

Give him very clear instructions, be extremely patient, show him he is beneath you and must follow your every order or he gets nothing. Do not cage him as this will only worsen the behavior through agitation. Never strike him or you may as well bring him back to wherever you got him from and get a healthy breed instead.

@theguythatcouldfly, the problem is that these guys have bought into the Millan dominance belief system wholeale. So they believe that everythign the dog does is because he is out to get you. They see dogs as enemies, adversaries, competitors. This way the can justify violence because the dog "needs to be put in his place" The view of dogs as adveraries and competitors for "leadership" is a big reason why they feel it's ok to hang a dog.

To answer all questions below: The English bulldog and other thorough-bred (inbred) breeds are stubborn, dominant and relatively unintelligent. Contrary to popular opinion this includes the Golden Retriever, which is among the most aggressive breeds on the planet. Chihuahua? Same, just less threatening due to size. Training these breeds is possible but vastly more difficult when compared to genetically healthy dogs, partly explaining why Cesar's approach is so popular - it works on inbreeds. Through persistence, research and possibly some outside help (professional training) it is possible to get one of these breeds under control, but you'll never be able to fully relax around them as you would with a mixed breed. The best solution, therefore, is to not follow the inbreeding trend and choose a healthy mixed breed at the local pound. This also saves you thousands of dollars/euros/whatevers on vet costs and ensures your dog stays with you as long as possible (inbred dogs die very young). This is also the more ethical choice as the only reason these breeds are created, rife with severe medical problems, is because owners keep buying them - it's still extremely profitable for those who do the inbreeding. For further reading, consult this article: www.instituteofcaninebiology.org/blog/health-of-purebred-vs-mixed-breed-dogs-the-data

itd be cruel 2 change the desire...dogs breeds r like the blueprint or cheat sheet on how 2 use what they were designed 4, 2 our advantage. Do so by showing them when chasing squirrels is acceptable n when it is not...dont act like ur changing it when thats what drives them..learn 2 work with it and teach ur dog right from wrong. That’s BS dude!! Bulldogs aren’t mean aggressive dogs AT ALL! Just bc one did that to your dog doesn’t mean they’re all bad. Sorry abt your dog. But don’t label and call All bulldogs bad bc you had a bad experience with 1 dog. Any dog at any time could have done that. That’s like ppl labeling pit bulls. It’s not the dogs, it’s the owners making them like that. Bulldogs are very smart, loving, loyal and awesome fun dogs to own. They do not stink and have health problems unless you have backyard breeders breeding bad dogs just for the money. So quit putting bad info out there unless you’ve done your proper research and can state proven facts and got PROOF!! None of what you stated is true!! So don’t give ppl the wrong impression abt these loving beautiful dogs. I have 5 of them and wouldn’t trade them for the world. They’re much better and smarter than lots of humans actually. Some ppl will just never get it. There are plenty of bulldoggers out there to back me up!! So pls keep your lies to yourself!!
