I recently saw Dr. Suprun on a health cruise. He’s a fascinating and knowledgeable speaker. Yes, functional movement is best. Those leg press machines always make my knees hurt very quickly, but I can lift myself out of a chair over and over without pain. It makes sense that functional is a better exercise.

Very helpful info! I’ve used “Treat Your Own Back“ method for about 25 years, initially resolving severe lower back pain & immobility following overuse (moving household) and ever since at the first hint of pain. Changed my life! Now I’m going to get Dr. Suprun’s book and the McKenzie ‘TYO Shoulder’ book for a family member with acute shoulder issues. Great interview and clear, informative lessons from an engaging and knowledgeable guest!!
