Obviously some people are unaware who this band is and what they have done to pave the way for any band that labels themselves HARDCORE! Roger's voice is a staple in the NYHC scene and has been for over 30 years. Don't like, don't listen, and we don't care what you think!

hahaha this is nyc hardcore , and a band who pawed the way for maaaaany maaaaany bands hardcore rock metal you name it . wannabes really , i think most of the music industry would laugh out hard at you if thats what you think they are , these guys lived it lived through it to tell about it and still do it , i bet you where not even born when af started out - there are different between posers and the real deal but it seems some people in 2018 have not a clue what they talking about
@Denka187

i take it that you never heard roger miret and the Roger Miret & The Disasters , i take it you never heard of stigma also then ? had a message i mean what you talking about here , saying that one of the biggest political hardcore bands that still to date has no message, its gettin morte clear n clear that you never heard agnostic front at all ? they invented a new style of hardcore , but hey i´we would love you to sit down with roger miret and explain to him what hardcore music is , tell him how it was in the scenen in the 70 s 80 s 90 s 2000 s and so on , and maybe share on how he is a poser and knows nothing on hardcore history - like i said before you would get laught at for saying shit like that in the music industry . hardcore is about life , about friendship , misfits that didnt belong , and if that is something different to you go for it b ut to call one of the biggest and oldest hardcore bands to date for posers i mean you really dont get the message at all

This is our scene - our scene! This is my passion - passion! Worldwide unity! I grew up on this, 8 years old when I heard my first hardcore record. Older kids in my neighborhood would let me listen to it and hang out with them. It has helped me through the hardest times in my life. Unfortunately there are so many broken lives in this scene. I have seen too many die or end up in prison. It is a symptom of what this scene wanted to combat. When your music scene reaches out to the broken, bastards, rejects, forgotten then you are bound to experience all the loss that comes with loving those people. What isn’t said enough is that hardcore has at least helped many without a family find one. Even if it was in the form of records and shows. Those that have gone on were loved and cherished by us that knew them even if the rest of the world thought they were trash. That’s what the fuck hardcore is. It’s not as much of how do they sound as how do they live and how much do they encourage positive change and unity. My favorites are Roger, Lou and Toby. Because of the value of what is said. Not just how it sounds( I love how it sounds though). To every one that can’t HEAR what is being said, that sucks and you should really Listen.

Paradoxically, for some reason I grew up on NYHC living in Regina Sask Canada(I was probably about 12 before becoming infatuated immediately). It's started for some of us when the Metallica import albums came in before they signed with Elektra., Ozzy had stolen my attention at the age of 7 away from Queen(indoctrinated by cousins), and whoever was responsible for the song at the end credits of Escape from New York movie(Still love the theme song). (Now known to myself as John Carpenter) The progression was very quick. I remember all of sudden having purchased Age of Quarrel, by Cro-Mags. We then had a flood of information on DC punk too -Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Black Flag etc,, and it all blew our minds. Biohazard started to get more popular, and after that motorhome in a city movie with Dennis Leary too. Things got concerning as hardcore punk was becoming somewhat mainstream, and Evan Seinfeld was waving his hammer around in Seg on that HBO prison show. I'm 46 now, and still love my eclectic collection of music, but have moved far away from Regina. I knew that even when listening as a younger person, a lot of the songs were whiney, with self destructive perspectives. l've always wanted Blood for Blood and other bands that sound completely badass to to have lyrics more like Wisdom In Chains than a buch of displaced hobbits. I have a lot of dead friends from all demographics and the odds are against inner city blue collar until fentanyl. The most concentrations of trouble makers/and or Pit Assholes I have always seen are usually at Slayer shows, or shows with bands like Slayer. Hardcore east coast(ish) punk still gives me goosebumps like nothing else, and I would say I'm a middle class contributor to society, but also have a lot of fun being angry about something. Because of my background, I have had a decent career in Corrections without getting my ass kicked, and maintained solid integrity. Stoned, but mostly drunk; still thought it fun to reflect. I was literally listening to Agnostic Front less than an hour ago. Edit- I'm so messed up, that for some reason, I thought I was on Reddit. Of course I listened to Agnostic Front recently rofl.

to all the kiddies and crybabies moaning and bitching about the most legendary voice of NYHC: Roger Miret is the godfather of NYHC! he and Stigma are AF and AF has always been the world's most appreciated NYHC-band. so go and listen to your newschool Metalcore- and Deathcore-bands where every vocalist sounds the same. at least Roger's vocals are unique although i have to admit that his voice sounds shot on the new record. 30+ years of professional Hardcore-shouting isn't exactly healthy for one's voice. HC lives!👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
