I thank you for showing your exquisite rigging and timing of gluing of the crane. if I were much younger I would have tried as you did. Anyway, I hope that non professional people would appreciate skills of a professional modeler . I have been made model ships and model tanks as a non professional modeler. Thank you again.

I am using plastic filament rigging (non elastic) which I had left over from my U Boat. Using tweezers to tie the knots and then a small dab of superglue using a cocktail stick on the knots works a treat. Bismarck is brilliant but I had to buy a few new motors and fix a blown transistor on a circuit board. They all tested fine a while back then failed 😞 I also put a power switch on the remote so the batteries don’t run down.

Thanks Wayne! I've been waiting to see how you tackled the cranes. It has been very frustrating for me. I like the idea of gluing the thread at the contact points to keep it in place. I thought about that but I didn't do it. I will now.

Well I'm very excited. Got my Wera PH00 screwdriver today and the first pack of my Bismarck so now I will be watching and re-watching all of Wayne's videos on this build. Pack 2 is on it's way but it does take a bit longer to get to Canada from the UK but will be looking forward to continuing the build and of course getting hints and tricks from watching the videos. I'm even thinking of not starting my Titanic build once I receive Pack 1 until watching Wayne's video.

The PH00 is not really the right size. You need a PH0

I used Blu Tack to hold the string in place whilst tightening the string. As per Wayne, a blob of glue on the crane pivot allows the crane to be angled as you desire and the string to be pulled into tension. Still not easy but saved me stamping on it in frustration

The Cranes should Lean against the Photo Etched Parts I told you about ages ago...... If the Cranes are not being used they will be in a "Stowed" Position!

Nice crane. I love a good crane. My friend and I have a lift off contest from time to time using technic Lego cranes we design ourselves to see how much weight we can put on a technic Lego crane before it breaks. Just a silly game to play over too much beer😁

as I haven't started my bismarck build , I have to go to agora models to get the rest of the build and start it from issue 60 but what I would be doing though is putting the rigging points in as am building the Bismarck instead of waiting until the end....but also am going to be ordering some Scaledecks Decking, for the build itself, to make it more realistic, but am not sure at this point whether to make it a static model, or make it a R/C MODEL... Is there anyone that you know off, that made this model R/C if so, was wondering if u could put me onto them thanks.
