@InfiniteText you are so sweet. Thank you. One thing I will ask is....do you feel pressure to read when you have a channel? Reading is the one thing I do for myself, and I put zero pressure on myself. I'm wondering if this would change.

@@nikkivenable73 it depends. At the beginning I had a back-log of books I wanted to talk about on this channel. Some I had written about in blogs, some I had from school so what I was "currently" reading was weeks ahead of the books I was talking about in videos. Now as I am sort of caught up (and I did have a pretty long break recently) I find that sometimes I look for niche topics or interesting books that are both cool for me but I always think about presentation. Some people read popular books and some try to find new books to introduce to booktube. It depends on your preferences and angles. Booktube does come to mind when I choose what to read, and I do read with a different eye. It can be a bit tiring always having something to say about every book. Some days I just want to be like: this was nice. That's it. Maybe I'll make a video soon about starting a booktube channel and answering some fears or questions. (

the fossil hunter sounds so interesting, especially the discussion about how people came to accept evolution.

Oh!! I didn't realize you were posting again!! So glad 🥰 You always make the most interesting videos. Ahab's Rolling Sea sounds fascinating. I've kind of been interested in reading Moby Dick for a while just for the whale facts! 😂

Been back for a few weeks! I'm trying to get into a routine (a little bit) so I don't fall off the wagon again. It's so easy to get distracted. You'll love Ahab's Rolling Sea if Whale fun facts and Moby Dick tie-ins is what you're after

Have you read The Feather Thief? Not related to whales or dinosaurs, but there's a good chunk of interesting history of the feather trade in there and about Alfred Russel Wallace who came up with his theory of evolution at the same time as Darwin.

I'll take recommendations about any topic under any video! That sounds like an incredible read, thank you I shall add it to my TBR!

It may be time for me to re-read Moby Dick, and pick up a copy of Ahab's Rolling Sea, too. Then I think, Did I read Two Years Before The Mast, or not? I'm drawn to tales of the old tall ships of the 18th and 19th centuries. I read every book of Patrick O'Brien's series - called the Aubrey/Maturin Series - about the old navy of the Napoleonic era.

Of course you read the Patrick O'Brian series! I almost started it once and I got intimidated by how long it is. Good on you for sticking to such a long series. I made it to books 6 of wheel of time and that's how far I've ever gotten in a long book series for adults.
