Bc if u did you would know that, just because a song is written you are not obligated to sing the exact lyrics eg if it’s explicit you can skip it , if there is a lot of wearing you can skip it, or just sing something else, and the fact that when ppl defend her they *all say the same thing* saying “*it’s not like she said it to a black person*”, which disgusts me even more, you all assume that when someone says the n word it has to be directed at someone to be racist, or it has to be directed at a black person, it is directed at any person of colour or just saying it in general as a non person of colour, which makes it racist, so instead of blindly defending idols, pls educate yourself on black history in terms of the n word.

Ahyeon simply sang the lyrics to show her fondness for a highly popular song that made the artist and record company who made it millions of dollars, yet many people are demanding an unnecessary apology without realizing that only YG can give her the permission to make a statement or an apology which they would have to oversee or make themselves. Mass emailing YG will weaken Ahyeon's position and has a good chance or harming her because of the headache it causes YG, so the concern about educating her is either disingenuous or totally misguided in intention in my opinion. And what will the allegedly well intentioned people do if Ahyeon doesn't apologize because YG doesn't let her? Will the drumbeat for horribly unjustified cancellation begin among those claiming to be so sensitive to the situation? What's more nobody seems to care about the treacherous and jealous person who leaked the video just to try to eliminate Ahyeon at debut.

Exactly. Even black people shouldbt say the word and they definitley shouldnt include it in raps that other people are very likely to cover. The responsibiltiy starts with black rappers who use the word in their songs. Nobody, regardless of their race should be saying this word. If someone is not extremely familiar with the history of this word and its meaning, they may take it with a pinch of salt, sinnce their are many covers of it online and many black rappers who have said it.

@@nadiamoosa3654 yes,I think putting it in a song which will blasted online or offline will normalise or watered the word. Kids could also hear it. The word is included in a song so it rhymes too. The word should be banned in songs. Only for educational material should it be used.

I think it's ridiculous to condemn a highly talented singer like Ahyeon from South Korea for simply singing the lyrics to a song that made a ton of money worldwide to entrap, cancel, bully and demonize her when she obviously admires the artist who made the song. DOn't use the n word in highly popular songs if you don't want people to use them and if they do they shouldn't be used as entrapment tools to ruin their career. This has NOTHING to do with caring about the African American community and most who are preoccupied with being sanctimonious just relish the demented scent of a new disgusting witchhunt.
