The inhabitants - and owners - of the Bikini Islands were forcibly removed from their own islands by the USA and placed in reservations and their homeland destroyed and made unliveable virtually forever by these nuclear tests. Great video, but tragic for the Islanders.

@@gnranger Speaking for the Pennsylvania, it was the same class of ship that the Arizona was and was hit by a torpedo late in the war. Navy likely figured it was worth more as a test bed than it would be to fully repair it.

Here's my reasoning: Pennsylvania - she was Arizona's sister and could have been use to show people what is was like on Arizona Prinz Eugen - for its part during Operation Rheinubung Nagato - Was Yamamoto's flag during Peral Harbor I don't know what I'm expecting from a navy that scrapped it's most decorated ship.

So do you have to tell this program what colors all objects have or is the ”AI”-part that it is able to understand, f.e what is water and then colors it blue?

As far as i know a big part in "restoring" color is looking at the grey values (in normal rgbw those can be 255 Shades) and the ai "learns" which of the possible colors in that particular Grey it sees seem the most logical

There were no crew on those ships they were just tested to see how vessels can survive a nuclear blast.

Not very interesting with all these bombs. Bringing past everyday life into the present is where the real explosive potential lies. More of those kind of videos!
