Yep, this code is open source, and it's runs using an Ollama back end powered by Llama 3.1 8B fully local. The downside to it is it takes up about 10GB of video ram.

I am sorry to say this, but i wouldn't want an AI in my CLI. The whole purpose of using a CLI over GUI is understanding the concept, which is a computer/software language. By incorporating AI into CLI, you are defeating the purpose of learning. Also, you can use AI independently if you find something to be difficult to understand.

Hmm. I wanted to be impressed by the demonstration, but I must say the examples didn't do it for me. I think that ls and cat are just better commands than a full natural sentence. Small things that you do a lot seem to call for terse language. But doing multiple things in command line natural sentences seems appealing, I suppose. Great work, in any case.

That's fair, for advanced users I'd expect them to use normal Linux/GNU commands for the most part. If whats typed looks like a valid command, it's directly executed. This demo is targeted at beginners, and not how I use the project. If their is interest, I may make a video demoing some more advanced uses. The helpful part is you can just mix in English when you can't recall syntax or a command name.
