A robot can be both teleoperated and run by AI, and it would still be impressive. For example, the AI can generate responses to the questions of the crowd, abd a human would choose the response, and the AI would pronounce the response abd gesticulate accordingly. That would still be hella cool and impressive.

If it weren’t teleoperated, it would mean Elon had achieved AGI and decided to not tell anyone but instead let them figure it out. Well, maybe not. But it seems pretty clearly teleoperated. The robot let out an extensive “uhhhh” to give more time to think of a response. The companies making these multimodal LLMs absolutely _could_ implement this sort of speech pattern, but they probably wouldn’t.

Definitely teleoperated and was even likely voiced by someone. AI is getting very advanced but the arm movement is too smooth and responses are too fast and articulate. Either Teslas made some absurd breakthroughs oit of nowhere that no other robotics company has, or they're just acting like it's fully autonomous.

MonST3R only “merit” is to be capable of capturing moving objects too. LIDAR technology has been around for quite awhile now, even TESLA used it at the beginning but not anymore, they figured out it was way better and cheaper to have lots of “traditional” cameras all over/around the car for environmental mapping using way less resources and being way more accurate. My job involves every 3D/stereoscopic tech you can think of. For mapping “reality”, lots of different processes and purposes in the middle and the output that is VR, AR, projectors (+ lenses/glasses), etc. If you have and iPhone 12+ Pro you can test the LIDAR tech and it’s really cool, but guess what, the frontal camera is way better for the same applications if the distance range is really short, because you couldn’t map a regular bathroom even, with the frontal one, and with LIDAR you could map a stadium if you want, but the precision is not that good and I’m talking millimeters as error margin compared with the “DOF” frontal camera, that’s why Face ID is so reliable. Cheers and thanks for the video.

i tried this AI photo enhancer. I used the same pictures they provided as the input photo, but the outcome photos were not as good as the photos presented as outcomes. Try it. You can use the same pictures they use as input photo and you will see that the output "enhanced" photos are not near as good as they "advertise." interestingly, the sample input picture of DeCaprio does come out much improved as advertised on the output picture. So I am not sure why the other 2 pictures of the guy faces come our so bad.

Try to prompt the big LLMs with this: create a 3D-style ASCII art representation of "LM" It will always fail, for some reason. Either it gets the characters good, but no 3d, or just a completely wrong abstract result is returned... depending on the llm It doesnt require the letters "LM", you can use any but I think it starts going wrong at 2 or more the most

13/ Overall, we found no evidence of formal reasoning in language models including open-source models like #Llama, #Phi, #Gemma, and #Mistral and leading closed models, including the recent #OpenAI #GPT-4o and #o1-series. Their behavior is better explained by sophisticated pattern matching-so fragile, in fact, that changing names can alter results by ~10%! We can scale data, parameters, and compute-or use better training data for Phi-4, Llama-4, GPT-5. But we believe this will result in 'better pattern-matchers,' not necessarily 'better reasoners.
