@amalsooraj4256
Жыл бұрын
@@ReviveHF Except for the timeline both Aircrafts are made for different roles and under differing circumstances. While Tejas was developed as an indigenous light fighter to replace the existing Mig 21, F Ck1 was formed as a result of China-US closeness & agreements to limit the sales of military hardware to Taiwan. Otherwise Taiwan has always been a traditional American Weapon buyer which was again evidently seen when they later brought the F16, Some of those orders ever given recently. They definitely did impressive production line with more than 130+ planes, i don't deny that, but its also true that they never had any option other than that either, If you read their history you'll find that after the limited series production, the initial order which was supposed to be given was 256, but that was dropped to present 130 as then taiwan was able to strike a deal for 150 Block 20 F16 from US. Whereas India never had that crisis even in 1980s India operated Mirages and later Mig 29s. Then we hv the aircraft technology itself the first model of F Ck 1 used American AN/APG 67 radar which is a much inferior radar compared to ELM 2032 radars of Tejas mk1 & Tejas Mk1a will hv Aesa radar. Fck1 doesn't hv air2air refueling tejas does, Fck has 6 hardpoints Tejas has 8, Fck1 range 1000 tejas 1800, fck1 weaponry limited to only American and Indigenous, while Tejas can mount Indian,russian & Israeli weapons. All while Tejas maintaining a smaller profile than fck1 in size. Both aircrafts aren't made considering same requirements and therefore different. Its easy to badmouth anything, Now your criticism of tejas probably stems frm its low production rate, IAF already has 30 tejas operational with 10 more will be delivered nxt yr. Plus IAF last yr gave an order for 83 Mk1A versions whose delivery will start frm 2024 onwards. Nations around the globe still uses 4-4.5 gen aircraft in majority& will continue till at least 2 decades, till then Tejas will never be a lost cause, it will continue serving.

Like the new advanced trainer aircraft (T-BE5A Yongying) of the Taiwan Air Force this time, it is not because the Italian M362 and the South Korean T-50 Golden Eagle are inferior to the T-BE5A Yongying, but because of cost and political considerations. It can reduce research and development costs, logistical burden, and revitalize Taiwan's aviation manufacturing industry, which is already on the verge of decline, because one thing must be clearly understood, whether it is F-16 or Mirage 2000, their initial design requirements are to meet the needs of the air force of the manufacturing country , After they came to Taiwan, they needed more time to adjust.

@H L The problem is that, the country will need fighters than "rescue equipment" as they're probably the only country with no dedicated Multirole Fighter jet as they only have 12 FA-50s, which are smaller than the F-16s. Also, they'll require 3 Squadrons of it as the Philippines' Fighter Wing is somewhat being left out among its South East Asian neighbors in the fighter department, especially that the tensions with its major adversary might come closer than we think, so it's best to gear them up with the best military assets if they're to counter the threat being posed by China and other potential adversaries.

@H L The threat of insurgents will eventually decrease. Compared to the F-5, the new T-5 is an improvement. However, it's still an old school 4th gen design and if you look at it next to the newer and far more numerous Chinese fighter jets ... it looks pretty hopeless, doesn't it? But I think the war in Ukraine is forcing a reassessment of priorities. Advanced SAM systems and long range surface-to-surface weapon systems may be more important for Taiwan's defense, rather than trying to compete toe-to-toe with Chinese aviation in the skies. In those areas, Taiwan seems to have good systems.

I'm pleasantly surprised to hear my name "Kuo" pronounced correctly. For so many years, I gave up on trying to explain the "kwah" pronunciation. I just tell people "quo" as in "status quo". My father's Taiwanese, but very much hates the KMT, obviously including the F-CK-1's namesake Chiang Ching-Kuo. I remember back before the democratic revolution, for some reason we got a shiny brochure in the mail with color pictures of the F-CK-1 jet fighter. I just thought it was a cool looking jet fighter, but my dad looked at it like ... well he didn't literally spit on it, but I could tell that's how he felt.

In fact in Taiwan we all use IDF (Indigenous Defense Fighter) to call it. F-CK-1 only appears in the file.

As Taiwanese, we not often use F-CK-1 to call it, we use IDF instead, and it also has funny nick name call " I Don't Fly", got it ?😂

This aircraft looks like the underdog that can prove to be the top gun in a close-quarters knife fight with even the mighty F15 screaming eagle which might just be left screaming obscenities when the FCK1 makes it realize that it's just FCked lmao who chose the name for this fighter anyways I just love it!
