Excellent. Many people don't realize that compressors are cooled by the proper refrigerant charge, using that coolant on the return or suction line, to keep the compressor from overheating. Thus destroying the oil and parts within the hermetic or semi-hermetic compressor. Very well explained. Thank you for all of your superb videos.

the video is factually correct with good usage of technical terms that most technician would have a problem with. Plus, a good explanation of why the temperature of the vapor refrigerant is increased was made. Some people would mistake increasing pressure means increasing the temperature but in fact the superheated complete vapor does not correspond to pressure/temperature relationship.

I thought it be cool to make an off grid refrigeration system based on an open Drive compressor. Then you could have a DC motor spin it and be able to swap it with a gas engine, propane engine. Think you meant increases in temperature means it increases in heat density, meaning amount of heat contained within something . Make so much since that the compressor can't turn the vapor to a liquid because if you're compressing somthing you're increasing heat and heat doesn't make liquid it just "create" more gas but the condenser coils are actually rejecting heat and changing the state.

Hey what do you think about easy seal, supposedly it seals small leaks? Does that product affect the compressor or condenser? How long will it hold the refrigerant? Should I just recommend a new unit?
@drodriguez394
4 жыл бұрын
Find the leak. The concern with leak sealants is that theoretically it could create a block in maybe your filter dryer or your orifice. Because they are small openings and by nature a leak sealant, seals. Would potentially create a restriction

I replaced my first compressor today in a rac. I had 0 clue what I was doing since I started commercial literally last week and I’m used to residential, my trainer made me replace the compressor on a rac and didn’t help out with anything just said “go do that.” Even though I made it open that I am very green and just learning so I don’t know what I’m exactly doing yet. Still made me do it with 0 tips or clues. I messed up on literally every step besides shutting off power and checking power. But he wouldn’t help me or walk me through it and he kept getting butthurt at me. I wanna learn this stuff but the guy training me is a pr*ck

What is outer and why it becomes faulty and make the compressor junk. Also when it burns, its windings damaged no smell comes out. It just list and stop, and become junk. Here I am talking about 1, 1.5 and 2 tons ac units. Yes the coiss are condebsers develop hokes and result in loss of valuable gas. You are not talking about ampheres,which may raise to 9 amphers.

Good instructional video. I'm searching for answers on how these 'solar assisted' hybrid air conditioners work. Some contractors are claiming 30% or higher savings by placing solar (heat gain) collectors (sun energy) that simply transfers heat to the refrigerant after the evaporator and towards the suction of the compressor. They claim it can be added to most split or package name brand air conditioners. How does it work or not work? SUNTRAC is one brand of this product.
