The fans in your parts list- 5x 120mm Fans 4x 140mm Fans It looks like you have used 2x 140mm for intake in the bottom, 2x 140mm for exhaust in the top and 1x 140mm exhaust in the rear. With the 3 x 120mm used in side intake, wouldnt the correct fan breakdown be - 3x 120mm 5x 140mm ?

3x 120mm in the side. 2x 120mm in the bottom 1x 140mm on the rear 2x 140mm on the top… I accidentally wrote 4x 140mm in the description when it meant to say 3x 140mm 🫡 thanks for noticing!
@mrwh1p569

@@Mr_Matt_Lee I was pretty confident there would be 8 fans at least :) The case specs say 2x 140mm fans fits in the bottom, was there a reason you went with the 120mms?
@Mr_Matt_Lee
11 ай бұрын
@@mrwh1p569 the 120mm fans tend to have slightly better static pressure, which in this case that would be advantageous being at the bottom with more limited breathing space 😊 you could put 3 120mm’s in the bottom, but personally I think that would be overkill and adding additional noise for little benefits.

I really liked this build, so much so, I copied it! Except I didn't go for the Y70Touch, just the plain Y70. I do have 2 questions: 1) The power cable that run from the top of the GPU, how did you get the cord bent over enough to fit the heat sink fan on. Right now I'm running only one fan on that. 2) Could you post a pick of the wiring you did in the back?? Thanks for a great build! Was on the fence about the Y70, but you made it look easy, and it wasn't really bad to put together. Just a few snags, but was able to work most of them out! Thanks again! Pete

a few questions: 1) how is the noise on this? My current (outdated) setup is liquid cooled but I love the aesthetic of this and would like to build it for my new build. Is it noisy? 2) If I were to go with an i9 would that affect anything from the cooling perspective. I would rather go bigger and future proof it as much as possible. 3) anything else you would change about this build after making the video?

Water-cooled OR air-cooled? Lian Li, or Phanteks or HYTE or Thermaltake, etc? Asus, ASRock, Gigabyte, etc. mobo's?_ *Which one??????* *I have a serious case of builder's block going on right now. To all the people out there considering Y70 Touch, I have been struggling with it for three months now. The Display looks nice but rarely work without being a pain in the @$$. The Hyte Software is a buggy mess and the fact that you would be getting POST on the Case LCD no matter what you do is a huge deal. When it works it is quite good but ONLY WHEN IT WORKS. And I personally believe that the things which the Display brings to the table are not worth the hassle. Now, about the case, it looks goofy and is super spacious, has an excellent build quality which is expected to in this price range .However, there is only one Dust filter on the bottom and none on the side which makes kind of have to put Intake not on the side where has a better thermodynamic as shown in GN Review. Fitting three 120mm fans on the bottom could also be challenging for the beginners as it needs a very accurate Manöver.

I have never been into the monochromatic non-rgb builds, but this is absolultey incredible and I would gladly love a build like this. Matt, you are seriously one of the best PC building channels I have ever came across. The quality of your builds, visuals, editing, sound production, and overall love for what you are doing in just amazing to see. I would love to see a m-ATX build in the Corsair 280x, which is the case I am currently using, or another case that would be cool to check out, would be the TK-1 seperated cabinet case. I saw it on Newegg for a couple hundred bucks the other day.

I'm glad the Hyte is so popular. I'm just learning about it and it's a shame they're already out of stock and it looks like whatever we get in the next iteration may give up the 4k screen (I'm guessing we end up at 1440p). Don't need to do a new build any time soon, but when I do I'm definitely looking forward to whatever I have in a Y80 or Y90. LOVE the understated blackout, this is sexy as hell.
