Yeah... Another Reality. Perhaps the reality of knowing that not even with all that power of destruction could Viét Nam be defeated. WTF! Nam. Nam!... A poor, underdeveloped, malnourished country, without the US Navy, US Air Force. No Manines, US Army; Green Baretes, Rangers, Delta Force, SEALs, Rambos, SOCOM or Chuck Norris. Without Submarines, Aircraft Carrier, Tanks, Choppters, PT-Boats, B-29 Bombers, missiles, Napalm, NOTHING. ZERO. NADA! ... they didn't even have shoes! and they won. LOL
@salvadorvizcarra769
3 жыл бұрын
@Lightning Ace24 Incorrect. According to the history books, it was Mr. Henry Kissinger who, on Mr. Nixon's orders, twice sat down to negotiate in Paris. Nam never asked for a negotiation or accepted any peace other than "Get out of here immediately"! If they had tried to "Negotiate", Nam would have succeeded the first time. But not. And as everyone already knows, wars (All Wars), are started by politicians and lost by soldiers. That is a Fact.
@salvadorvizcarra769
3 жыл бұрын
@Lightning Ace24 Did you say "Negotiate"? Well, since when does a country that is winning a war "Negotiate" with another that is being defeated? No way; who is winning DOES NOT negotiate. Did you say two more years and "Would have been eliminated"? Well, Nam fought France for 8 years and right away, he faced the US for over 17 years more. So two additional years of massacre wouldn't have made a big difference for them, right?
@salvadorvizcarra769
3 жыл бұрын
@Lightning Ace24 Well check this out! I always thought that the people of Nam had defeated the US, but now, you tell me that they also kicked ass to Australians, Kiwis, Filipinos, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, South Koreans, Hindu and English mercenaries, etc. Wow! Surprising, right? Then you point out that "In the end, America was stabbed by its own government and antiwar sentiment at home." Well this is obvious. With so many years of war and so many atrocities committed (My Lai, Da Nang, Quang Ngái, etc.) and after so much Napalm burning old people, children and women, it is obvious that the horrified Government "Stabbed the Army". If I touched a nerve, I apologize, I did not want to open wounds, but the fact is that the US has an army that has made us believe with Propaganda, that: "We defeated the Nazis." When it was actually the Soviets. Normandy was made possible cuz Germany was destroyed in Stalingrad, Leningrad and Kurk, in 1943. Normandy was until 1944. Patton could NOT set foot on German soil until January 1945, when the Red Army was only 300 miles from Berlin. Propaganda has made people believe that we won in Korea, in Vietnam, in Cuba, in Nicaragua, in Somalia, in Lebanon, and that after 10 years they are already winning in Afghanistan. Surrrrre. US Army invaded the small island of Grenada, defeating a fearsome army of 286 Police Officers, since Grenada DOES NOT have an Army. LOL (Actually, they were only half of those Police Officers, cuz the other half had not yet entered the shift of the afternoon). They also invaded Panama to kidnap Noriega, when such abuse is prohibited by UN Resolution. (Resolution signed by President Ike), since no government leader can be arrested or assassinated without "Casus Belli", voted by the UN.
