Tillandsia are easy to grow. Spray them lightly once or twice a day. In temps over forty F you can hang them outside and the dewpoint at night will water them for you. Mounted on tiny twigs of cedar branch with Spanish Moss they can grow HUMONGOUS!

I left mine in the pot but I have seen them in a video growing as an epiphyte on a tree so gravel should work fine. And, yes, cut off the old bloom spike as with all bromeliads.

She said that the Xerographica was the largest Tillandsia, is this true? I have seen plenty of air plants over 9 inches in diameter. I see lots of Tillandsia Utriculata with a diameter of 2 feet in the Caribbean.

As others said the names for pruinosa and tricolor melonocrater should be swapped. But could it also be Tillandsia punctulata? These two look sort of similar to me and I have one..

If that's a tillansia zerograghica can it tolerate shade?
@OklahomaGardening

In general, if your air plants are living in a more humid environment, they will be able to handle a bit more sunlight since they will not dry out as quickly. ... The great Xerographica air plant is one of the few tillandsias that can take full sun. Full spectrum (fluorescent) light is a must. Regular incandescent bulbs don't emit the quality of light these plants need to photosynthesize. Your Tillandsia should be placed no further than 3 feet from the light source. Also if you're going to use fluorescent light, the plants will need, at minimum, 12 hours per day.

Zepth Qalev Xanders after they flower they will produce pups, which are more baby plants coming off the side of it, and not immediately, but eventually, the mother or original plant will die and the pups will live on, flower, produce pups, die eventually, etc.
