Thanks Dale. The first minute is a quick tour of little Italy in Montreal while I got dinner from a local shop a little vlog style as a traveller would do.

There was a square-ish white device plugged into a bedroom outlet at the airbnb I stayed at. It flashed a bright blue light throughout the night. Was this a sound monitor? There is a bar across the street from the unit that played INSANELY loud music with a LOUD base (thump thump thumpa) till 3am each night. Could this be sensed in the unit? I was sleep deprived for the 5 nights we stayed there. It was horrid! The host did not even care. At the very least the host should be up front and honest on their listing that while their king sized beds look comfortable (and they are) you will NOT be able to get a good nights sleep in this place! #Heirloom @stayloom (Savannah)

You would have to check with AirBnb policy and the host.

If you find a hidden cam you’d wanna call the police lol. Even if they mentioned it in the listing that cams are on the property, Airbnb doesn’t allow hidden cams. You’d have a solid lawsuit which airbnb would likely settle to avoid the bad publicity even though they aren’t responsible.

Dear Dale, -Regarding the FreshAirSensor ..thanx for your informational video on what these Ugly device's look like. Although thatwas already the first thing that came to mind as I visited the AirFresh's manufacturers website :p I hope someday to own a couple of hotels/AB's > but that's another story. My interest in this innovative (and what could possibly to a far broader range of customers be) usefull product , derives from a rather~ completely different, you might even say totaly opposite point of view concidering the implementation in our daily lives of this smoke monitoring systeem... Sadly, neither all the endless BlaBlah on their website as well as the (Laggy) 'TV-Commercial; 'All-Talk-No-Information nor IRL test provide substantial info regarding variables in detection-2->indication-2->outgoing alert response- timespan. I'm aware this is a variable & depends on type of tobacco/ Range to the product, but also height of my Wallmounts (warm air rises & would probably detect someone had been smoking.. uhh?.. by the time they're halfway home before the room was clouded enough in order to trigger the chemical detection sensor (again, Zero Info to this point anyware to be found on the man.website:( FYI: I am a smoker myself and yes, like Hotel/ ABbies owners I to am I am concerned of the health issues caused by second hand smoke for my child, people who visit.. even the dogs health.. So my idea & reason for specific information is based on preventing these consuquences as well as preventing yellow walls and bad air quality by implementing a detection system like this in order to automated actively in-/decrease of clean air intake/ exchange by means of starting Ventilation-/ Aircondition units over a completely Smart-house triggered system that monitors and improves, without the need of any human interaction of the system. Allthough the difference in active vs passive prevention/ improve of airquality, these concerns still remain of equal importance (!!! ..and not only because of the rather Steep Prizes vs. actual usefullness thus cost&revenue-effect of this product. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Spitting out a bunch of fictional numbers on hard or even impossible to measure exact $-outcome is easy, as we all can see thrueout their website :s) Could you answer+elaborate any of the questions concerns before throwing away a lot of money? Or if not could you tell me in which Guesthouse I could Try and See the system in action for myself.. I'd happily pay any fine if push came to shove ofcourse.. :) Last, but not least & probably most important but also retorical question~ remark: if I understand correctly the system sends out a Detection to their servers & in turn these send a notification by mail and so on to the Building owner/ supervisor? Why couldn't the device send this notification directly to a pre-given receipient mailadress or phonenumber in the software? You know, like any $25-$75 device like a smoke/ fire/ flood & so on in most cases can without the need for having expert computer skills? (Sadly they have the Patent on the technolgy and choose to turn it into an absolut ripp-off peace of plastic) *[for all you haters: Yes, Smoking kills > I can read that on my Package of Cigs every day. Clean air & a more healthy world start at Your own front door, try riding a bike instead of taking the car & Fly less. Thanx from Gaia. PS: COVID-19 is the best thing Mother Earth could hope for.. ;] Please keep up making such vivid and easy going style in supplying new products info bulletins. I especially enjoyed your added entertainment value to your presentation of these products

Where do you get the FreshAir sensor? Is it at www.freshairsensor.com/faq/? It doesn't have the pricing and asks for a quote. Very useful video btw - thanks.

I went to that site and that definately looks like the same brand that is in the video. No idea why the quote hope it's not a rip off.

For the units you have 2 options, buy or lease. If you want to buy, they are $360 a device and $0 per month for the monitoring. For leasing it's $0 device and $6 a month per device monitoring fee. The kicker is that there is a minimum order requirement of 50 units so $18,000 for purchase or $300 per month. Yikes.
