If you just mount it to a tank, you won't need the motor running all the time. Solving all your overheating issue, and results in more steady pressure/paint jobs

Thanks :) This solution was made due already having this version without a tank. And couldn't afford to buy an add on tank.

@@CaptainsDrydock crazy, how much are computer fans there? Up here in Canada you're looking at minimum 25 a fan. Or 30 bucks for a 3 gallon tank ad on

@@Burnt_clutch89 WOW! They're super expensive in Canada!! $7 in the UK and even free if you rip out one from a decarded PC - Much cheaper if you can't afford $30

I have one on a tank, and having almost burnt myself on it on a beginner trial run, I'm fitting these fans!

I have a question is .. which side should I place the fan.. should it be blowing or extracting ?
@CaptainsDrydock

Blowing. The air will circulate through the housing and out of the vents.

The new models are fixed. Just look at the cylinder head it looks totally different to this one

Really good vid, helped clarify some stuff for me. Just one thing, you want both the fans blowing onto the parts they are fixed onto? No exhaust fans?
@CaptainsDrydock

Thanks Daniel :) That's correct, the top fan blows cool air over the fins just like an air cool motorbike engine. And the rear fan blows air through the compressor where it exits through the vent holes you can see in the bottom.

Thanks. Just ordered the fans. I'll probably 3Dprint the top mounting, but nice to know you can just glue it.

Now that I have a 3D printer, I would do the same if I did it again.

You can use any 'rocker/toggle' switch. Here's a link to something similar I used... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254768444874?hash=item3b5161f5ca:g:HloAAOSwJjdiIk9X
