People forget that the E-2 is not called profit hunter for nothing. To flies with 90-120 passengers, a great majority for those jets, the E-2 is just 40% more lucrative, fuel per passenger (-25%) and maintenance being the main reason.

I think A220 beats E2, but the price difference is huge, since A220 is 33% more expensive. So, all in all, E2 has the best cost-benefit.

The E2, in terms of cost effective, is my favorite. Fuel consumption is amazing. The Embraer remains the best for short haul flights.

Each aircraft has a specific purpose. Me as a client I must define what I want... If I want low cost, less noise and maintenance, more profit, etc., then, I will choose E195-E2.

The 195E2 kills the A220 with an unbeatable cost-benefit ratio. Autonomy is not relevant since they are regional jets.

They’re not regional. Both of the aircraft have more than 100 seat capacity, so they’re considered short-medium range

3400 Nm of range, 140 seats and ETOPS certification makes the A220-300 not a regional plane at all

The seats are too small for longer range, any flight over 2 hrs is very uncomfortable

The A220 was originally Bombardier's C series aircraft, and Airbus bought it from Bombardier. To me, the A220 looks better, but 195 E2 is the more economical option.

for regional service, E2 is the best. Autonomy is suitable for the vast majority of routes, its cost per seat is lower. is an airplane that has more care in the project, as different wings for each version, for better efficiency, not having a single wing for all versions like the airbus model. So much so that it has the lowest noise level. ACJ 220 if I were to choose only for longer, low-demand routes, where greater autonomy would be decisive. The reports of the companies that use the E2 show that it exceeds the efficiency gain promised by Embraer in some points.

Did I miss the price per unit? In terms of range and capacity (only 3 ,ore seats), the Airbus is better. If the price of the E2 is significantly lower then the A220, so its a better aircraft for short flights.

ah, 2 planes from the Americas. Embraer is Brazilian while the A220 isn't actually an Airbus development. it's Bombardier CSeries which EADS bought on the cheap.

So, why is the A220 outselling the E2 greater than 2-1? Manufacturers list price is irrelevant. Final price is what the purchaser negotiates with the manufacturer. The E2 is a regional airliner. The 220 has the potential for medium to longer range operation, including trans Atlantic and trans continental - a much more flexible platform. If I was buying one as a personal aircraft, I'd buy an E2 purely on price alone and add long range tanks in the cargo holds. If I'm an airline, it would be the 220 hands down.

I wonder how many A320s are being cannibalised by the A220. Also a problem for the B737. Meanwhile we see B737 crossing The Atlantic instead of the big two aisle planes. There is probably a lot of markets for the cheaper E195 in Africa and Asia.

I will always prefer flying on almost any Airbus or Boeing aircraft over any Embraer aircraft for the cornerstone reason that the Airbus A220 is one of the supported models for the Delta Studio in-flight navigation/entertainment system.

It depends on me. As a passenger the E2 is quieter. For airlines for short routes I would choose E2 for the greater efficiency on those routes. Now if you are going to take long but low-demand routes, airbus will be the option.

People, e195 is a regional jet, A220 is a medium to longer range jet, can fly to Europe from eastern North America, e190 can not, most airlines are replacing Embraer with A220.

My airline KLM is actually replacing 737-700’s with the e195-e2 and is super happy about its efficiency. In addition most airlines are adding A320-321 to replace smaller aircraft

Although the E2 is newer the A220 is more comfortable for me as a passenger. We have both types in Switzerland and I flow with both multiple time and talked with pilots: without a doubt the A220 wins by far
