Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I got a question, you always say "the A320 panel", but is there any difference between other aircraft from the family, e.g the A318 or the A319, or is it just the same, just different sizes?

Thanks ANP! Yes that's a great question. For the most part the panels are all identical between the family members of the narrow body Airbuses. But I always try to be as accurate as possible and differentiate because if we really want to be technical you can find some slight differences here and there, in particular the A321. Some of the switches are a little different, but not substantial enough to confuse anyone who knows the planes. I just went with the A320 because it is the most popular and the "original" base model let's say...hope all is well my friend! Thanks again for tuning in!

@@MikeAbignale All is well haha, I hope you're doing well! Are pilots taught about these differences when they're doing flight training, or do they just like, learn these by themselves or by talking to other pilots?

Yeah you bet! Often times the way it works, is the airline will pass you through the training for the "base" fleet model which is the bulk of the learning that gets done. After this phase, there is actually some formalized "differences" training where you are educated on the nuances between the models. Sometimes it is just done over computer based trainings, but other times you actually have to go out in the real aircraft with a check airman and conduct a real world flight to complete the training.

@@MikeAbignale if the pilots weren't taught about the differences, do you think that a pilot who tries out a new aircraft, e.g. coming from the A319 to the A321, will result in any significant trouble, or is it just fine?

Hmm..I'm sure they'd survive the day, but definitely these differences are things that they would want to know about. Many times they are small systems related things that may or may not really be that big of a deal while you are flying, but others certainly are. For example, when you transition from an A319 to an A321, there is a very big risk of tail strikes because the 321 is so much longer. There is a fair deal of emphasis placed in the transitioning training on this fact because this is a real way that you could damage the plane if you weren't careful or didn't realize this was an issue. Good question!

Sir we need some things new , all what you mentioned is familiar and exciting on Y/T ,, we want actual demonstration faults & how to deal with it?

Thanks for tuning in my friend. A great suggestion and maybe something that I can figure out a way to incorporate here on the channel. Do you have any specific faults you are curious to know about?

Ok Bazoka yes I like this suggestion. I am trying to figure out a good pc simulator that I can run to demonstrate more of these things better. My plan is to finish the cockpit tour and then start on some of this new content. Thanks so much for writing in my friend! Cheers
