A Cambrian Airways Vickers Viscount 701 purchased secondhand from BEA, takes off from Rhoose Airport (nowadays Cardiff International) in the 1960s.

Dan-Air's first ever Aircraft was a Douglas DC-3 registered G-AMSU. It had been built in 1944 for the USAF and was obtained by Dan-Air from Meredith Air Transport at the start of operations in 1953. G-AMSU was scrapped in 1972 and Dan-Air was sold to BA for £1 (plus debts) in 1992. This is followed by a clip featuring Lancashire Aircraft Corporation's C-47B Dakota, G-AMWX, at Blackpool Airport.
Aer Lingus Fokker Friendships EI-AKC, EI-AKD, Vickers Vicount EI-AJI and a Douglas Dakota at Dublin Airport.
Aer Lingus bought seven Fokker F27 Friendships, which were delivered between November 1958 and May 1959. These were used in short-haul services to the UK, gradually replacing the Dakotas, until Aer Lingus disposed of them during 1966 in favour of secondhand Viscount 800s.
Near the start of the film are a pair of CIE Leyland OPD2/1's with bodies built by CIE in 1953. These 'Airport Specials', R541-R546, had centre entrance and staircase, seating for 50 and a large walk in luggage compartment behind the back axle. They carried Aer Lingus livery and the destination for the flight they were to connect with, so a bus could be seen in central Dublin with the destination 'Amsterdam'! After 11 years on the airport service, they were converted to half cab rear platform buses until withdrawn in 1974.
