The funny thing about this kit, is that, despite it being called a 'Bren Gun Carrier', there is no trace of a Bren Gun in the kit. I have, in the past, used a Bren from another, possibly Matchbox, kit. Lovely little model, though.

I made soooo many Airfix kits! I think my first one was a car, came in a plastic bag. Probably in 1972. All my models disappeared quickly soon after I got my first air rifle 😂

A large scale release of the Buffalo and Jeep kit would be nice.

I remember that from the mid 60's. Built it a couple of times. Mounted the 6lb on the back of the carrier.

Great little kit, still going strong after nearly 60 years. Funny thing that on the box top the gun is firing in the air...as it was an anti-tank gun...maybe flying tanks sighted or so...very strange ;-)

My grandad fought in Malaya 1952 whilst doing his national service, was in the Suffolk Regiment, he gave me his service medal before he passed away, he definitely had some stories.

I build one when they were sold in a bag(!), but now there are better options, such as the one from Plastic soldier Company, with a better crew (and bren guns!). never understood why Airfix gunners were all so stiff, as in a parade.

I do love these vintage unboxing's and the presentation. It's like a trip down memory lane on some of them and I have started hunting vintage kits for myself now. Although, after celebrating the coronation yesterday with a few too many, I am trying to remember how I ended up buying the Trumpeter 1/24 Stuka 🥺??....

Odd I was sure it had seperate tracks too. Saw a firefly with moulded tracks as well I was convinced that had the rubber ones.

Horrid, undersized old rubbish. Not worth building. How I'd love some decent 1/72 armour with figures...

Most popular small scale armour is 1/76. Has been for decades 'OO' = 1/76.

You don't build these kits for their precision. There is a part nostalgia but it's also a challenge to turn this kit into a beautiful model, it takes a really talented modeler. Not for everybody I guess.
