I love my piledriver mrhollowpoint is the man he makes hands down the best food for this beast and I have been getting 830 all the way up to 900ftlbs of energy maybe higher with the 700grain slugs that's the max u can use in the directions Rick I picked mine up months ago at new england airguns I was the first to have one that I knew of besides mr hollow point and I gave him shi* for it he got his 3 days before me and I had ordered mine in may! But I'll say this I get ridiculous accuracy out to 100 yards and with a 74 cuft bottle I get 3-4 fills depending on outside temp and then I pay 10$ to fill it ....luckily I live about 3 miles from a scuba shop I love this gun have a utg bipod and a 4-16x40 utg scope .........I NEED a COMPRESSOR though BUT CORONAVIRUS has depleted my funds even more so because I refuse to take a break from working and from taking money from the government (I don't trust them) I'll owe them something or sure

Have had mine for a month, only had time to shoot 4 shots to get the scope dialed in, hearing protection is a must for sure. All stocked up on Mr Hollowpoint ammo, and use a 12 v portable compressor to keep it breathing, so far a happy hunter here :)

Elk? Heh Elephant. I would want a 45 cal or 35 cal. Those 50 cal slugs are almost too costly. A 45 will take down pretty much whatever for the average hunter on a budget.I just believe these kinds of things are too exspensive to shoot.😀 Ed The Backyard Sniper man✌

Can .50 lead roundballs used for black-powder fit in .50 airguns?
@eddiecahall3824
3 жыл бұрын
@@scowler7200 No. 50 cal black powder balls are generally .490in bore size.. Air Rifle 50 cal is generally .510in. bore size.When you purchase an air rifle You need to check the bore size exactly with a set of digital calipers. Each air rifle made in .50 cal or whatever the bore sizes can be slightly larger or smaller. Ed the professional backyard sniper man😂👍😀

@@eddiecahall3824 A little powder-coating might make the difference. Maybe find a machinist to make me a .510 casting mold. Needs to be some standardization between blackpowder and airguns. Would open up the market a little. Would love to see repros of older airguns like the Girardoni.

@@scowler7200 you can buy molds made by lyman company.that's what I do.there's also lee molds and a Higgins company that makes molds. They're for sale online everywhere.but first measure the bore with calipers

@@eddiecahall3824 They already make airgun molds? Neat. Might just save up for a custom XP in .58, though. The idea is that I only need one type of projectile for small game (slingshot) and medium game. Sure I could get a blackpowder gun, but I'd rather eliminate two dangerous variables than save a few hundred bucks and accidentally blow up my shed.

Has anyone opened one of these up and adjusted the hammer spring? I ask because I have a harpoon which supposedly has similar components and my harpoon is way under power. Nearly 100 ft lbs from hatsans claims. I am not sure how or if the hammer can be adjusted it's not a typical style hammer spring assembly.

The Piledriver air cylinder should not be pressurized over 250 Bar besides the "gun" can handle 300 bar
