Would you use the Airport Rail Link or do you prefer a different way of getting into Bangkok?

When I lived in Khlongtan /Thonglo I liked to take the ARL to Ramkhamhaeng and then take the Khlong boat to Thonglo.

Last time we checked the first train was 5.30 in the morning! But always check the day before to make sure there are no surprises!

Yes, the way is very long from the Airport Rail Link (ARL) - station Hua Mak to the Yellow Line (YL) station Hua Mak. And if you walk down the road from ARL to the Srinagarindra Road you have to cross the (normal) Railway line, and there is no real pedestrian pavement. You can though cross the railway line already opposite the (western) exit at the ARL and walk through a small residential area. Then use the lift, and use the long skywalk to Hua Mak YL station. Wouldnt recommend it with luggage or when it is hot.
