Can u do a video talking about each step of the pipeline, starting from bootcamp
@Mattwilliy89
4 жыл бұрын
complete bootcamp (7ish weeks), leave to pensicola for Aircrew school (4ish weeks) and Aviation Rescue Swimmer (6ish weeks) school and A school (6 weeks or 4 months / might go away, navy is testing it now) . After you will go to an FRS (5months-1year) to learn Aircrew duties for your helicopter platform (H60 R or S). this can take anywhere from a year or 2 (depending on waiting times). then you go to your squadron to perform/serve out your contract.
@jasonpensinger2548

Matt Johnson they actually changed the pipeline... now it’s bootcamp, RSS, than aircrew. They did this to my knowledge due to how many dropouts there are in RSS and people were grad. Aircrew school than failing in RSS who had AIRR contracts so they just flipped those two

Love this channel, I’m still in high school, going to be a junior but for a year now I’ve really been looking into becoming aviation rescue swimmer for the navy. My dad served on the Nimitz I’ve always loved the navy! Great videos man love them!

Jeff Jorgensen yah I’ve seen so my many videos on it and my dad took a couple, it’s breath taking just seeing the size of an air craft carrier, so many personal that do so many different jobs in order for the ship to properly function. So I’m guessing you being an aviation rescue swimmer you were fortunate enough to be stationed on an aircraft carrier for that time u were?!

Joseph Glaubitz talk to a recruiter before getting lasik cause in some cases you have to wait like 6 months to a year to join after u get the surgery. You may still qualify with your bad vision without getting lasik.

@@danielsd6972 Ended up getting dropped out of RSS unfortunately but was able to maintain the Aircrew rate and moved straight onto NACCS. @helms8130
Жыл бұрын
@@danielsd6972 Probably a little late since it seems you've shipped out already but my biggest tip would be to keep your head down and don't draw attention to you from the instructors. Don't give them any reason to single you out because once you get thrown into the shark pit it's hard for them to let you live that down. It's gonna suck but it's up to you to stay motivated. PT hard, show up on time, and keep your uniforms sharp. Pensacola is a gorgeous place to visit but I would stay 100% focused on RSS and NACCS until you get to A-School, once you've made it that far I would say my next tip would be to enjoy Florida!

I appreciate the videos you put out. Currently working on my run time for the 1.5 mile, but had a question about RSS. How much distance running is involved in the workouts? Is it totally dependent on the Cadre?
@richardvollmer2842
4 жыл бұрын
Well you have your PSTs that you take, but when I went through we went on 3-5 mile runs 3-5 times a week depending on what your class has scheduled for the week. Most of the time there pretty slow at 8 min mile pace but that also depending if your class is extremely good or crap and what the instructors want. But definitely not anything you can’t do.

Hey, man. Just relaying info I've gotten from a friend of mine who has went through the seal training process. The 3 most important things when it comes to all NSW jobs is running, swimming, and general calisthenics. Train for the PST (max push-ups, sit ups, and pull ups. 1.5 mile run, and 500 m swim) not the job. I hope it helps!
