I don't know how widespread this is but in my country there are companies that go "sorry this is not covered by warranty" but as soon as you remind them that they still have to give a 2 year guarantee against faulty goods sold in the EU, they immediately flip and replace the faulty product. A warranty is given by companies on their terms but do check what rights you have as a consumer

Why? Because Luke had 1 problem with 1 (expensive) Li-ion battery and the manufacture did not care about warranty? Li-ion batteries are just good and bad as LiPo. Titan Li-ion are just over-expensive Li-ions. Most people don't even know how to properly charge a battery.

@Antstar12

@@JunPT266 Yep, 1 bad incident doesn't mean it's always like that. Pretty shitty that Titan didn't respect the warranty, I'd bet Luke could have reached out to the ebay store owners to get a different proof of purchase or have the store make the warranty claim instead. Either way the batteries perform well and you're paying a premium for well sourced Li-Ion cells and the manufacturing of them into airsoft batteries. It won't be long before another company comes along and starts making their own Li-Ion batteries that are the same spec but at a much lower cost. If Titan's specs are true, they have 18650 cells that have a max discharge rate of 48Amps with a capacity of 3000MAh. I haven't been able to find a 18650 cell with that level of power. Most i've seen are either 25/30A at 3Ah, or 30/35A at ~2.8/~2.5Ah. So either they have proprietary cells, or are allowing wider tolerances than the cell manufacturer would allow.

I switched to titans fully about 3 years ago because I've had a couple lipo fires start with a smart charger. I've also dealt with swelled lipos quite often in other hobbies and for work and it has absolutely made me paranoid. Almost burned a buddy's apartment up. (Get a LiPo bag gents) I've never once had a Li-Ion issue since switching and have loved my titans because they will keep charge for so goddamn long and can be stored for long term with no issues. I'm sorry to hear you had a catastrophic event happen like that with yours man, I will definitely keep an eye on my titans now for sure

Yeah, I've owned three titans and they've all outlasted every single lipo I've ever owned. I even snapped a wire off of one by accident and when I contacted them to see if they could fix it, they told me to take it to an airsoft shop and have it properly disposed of, and then they sent me a brand new one in the mail completely free of charge. The fact that neg had the experience he did, which was so far from my experience, really irks me.

I agree with you on krytac . Yeah they are a good gun but they aren't two hundred dollars better than say a cyma platinum or a old school classic army . If you want the drip factor then buy a shell or a bone yard gun and build that Gucci gun. Chances are you will end up with something far superior in the long run and you will know every part in it and how it should work. Every one of my guns is a smattering of well sorted factory and aftermarket parts. Do the research to find out what companies make the good part for the name brands that double the mark up. It's the same thing with my tools. Here in the states there are only a handful of companies that build tools and all the name brand tool companies purchase them or have them make small changes to them but then add 200 bucks because it says " matco " or " snap on " ..... OTC, Astro pneumatic, Chicago pneumatic, Sun , Lyle , Stanley/cobalt/craftsmen make the major amount of tools and then sell them to other tool companies. You find the ones that make it you will be able to get the stuff cheaper and more times than not at a better quality.

"Old man yells at cloud" I'm there yelling at that same cloud too. That first point really gets to me especially when people start telling new players to go buy midcaps "Because they don't rattle". The other one that I don't understand is similar to the battery thing. "Go get a Vortex red dot it has a lifetime warranty" I can get 3-4 replica aimpoint red dots from china for the price of one inspired by aimpoint red dot that I'd have to move and re zero each time I moved it between guns and they all function the exact same way.

Screw both mid and high caps. I run drum mags. I sound like a maracas but screw reloading. I can't care if you hear me coming, the best thing you could do is run or grab cover because I have a lmg that puts out around 50 rps and a 5000 round capacity, it uses a model r/c airplane lipo and a brushless . ... That gun breaks often 😏. I like mids because they are normally of higher quality. If you have a aeg or a hpa with a high rate of fire most high caps just don't keep up. Mids can be serviced or beefed up. They have less moving parts and it trains you to be mindful of your trigger play. As for being stealthy ....right , twigs make way more noise than high caps and like Luke said , a tired chubby guy runs flat footed and is breathing heavily, all of which I will hear long before or maracas.

The only real reason I buy li ions is so that way if I have a gun that's a b**** to change the battery on instead of changing the battery, why not make it so I don't have to change the battery in the first place. In a m4 its not necessary. I originally intended to use a lion in my RPK16 until I realized I could not close the dust cover because the battery was too thick. I do run one in my cuma plat mp5 since I got the version with the m4 style stock which is miniature and does not have a battery and I have to argue with it to get it off. The way you know your ammo is goes if you didn't buy it from Dick's sporting goods or Big 5. I typically do use older ammo after a while just to get rid of it, but of course I hold on to it until I can actually get out and shoot it. I also shoot the trees in my backyard to empty the mags in the case of a pistol at least, but with everything else I just returned them to the bottle or the bacg
