Very helpful video I’m heading there the end of the month for minor warranty repairs. It’s nice to have a visual interpretation of the process.

Thanks so much. Glad it was helpful. We found the folks at Jason Center to be extremely customer forward.

My warranty runs out this month. I usually just take it to DJ at broken Rivets. It cheaper then driving so far. I bought it at Airstream of Virginia, but some bad experiences there mostly waiting on them to get to my trailer. Thanks for the video.

Hi Doug! DJ figured out that our 12 problem was a short. He's fantastic. We've heard disappointing stories about AofVA service. You're in good hands with DJ. Thanks so much for watching!

Great video! We had to take our Airstream to Jackson Center in 2015 and the service experience mirrored yours - absolutely excellent! Another tip is that the Terraport (the factory campground) is open to Airstreamers not having service for $10.00 per night (those with service have priority). On weekends, this is a great option as no service is typically happening and there are many sites open. We stayed there this spring to visit Wapakoneta (12 miles away) and visit Neil Armstrong's home town and the museum there. It is also a great jumping off point to visit the Museum of the United States Air Force which, I will say, might be better than the Smithsonian Air & Space...

Hi Rich and Cindy!! There is so much to do and see within about an hour or so of Jackson Center. Such good advice about weekends at the Terraport. It would be a great place to camp while exploring all the cute towns and attractions nearby.

Let me tell you the other side of dealing with Airstream of Jackson Center. I submitted for an appointment on Airstream's site they've told me to take it to my dealership. I replied "I don't trust them to fix it properly!" They asked for my dealerships name and I never heard back from them, so I went on their site and submitted another service request. Some guy sent the exact same email as the previous time. I decided to fix the problem myself.

Well that's sad. What was the issue issue you wanted fixed? Was this recent? It's good to hear the good and bad. Helps level set expectations.

That is interesting. I submitted a ticket in July for an appointment in October. They were very firm that they were not able to address anything I didn't initially report. I reported the 12v short issue and then later asked about several smaller items. The service advisor said they would work the 12v issue and if there was time, they would work on the other items. That seemed fair to me. Either Barry or I likely could have handled the other items. Good or bad, maybe they are thinking the certified dealers should be able to handle wall separation? How did you fix the separation?

The only thing on our list we would not have attempted (yet) is finding the electrical short. This is the list of items fixed - (I'm going to add tis list to the video description) *Punch list -* - 12V issue that seemed like a short because some 12V stuff worked and some didn’t - found and rerouted wires. He also put the reading light at the foot of the bed on the same switch as the other 2 reading lights. - Cording that holds the awning window to the frame was coming loose from the corners. The cording was stretched so he clipped it in the corners and pushed it in the channel and filled the gap. Looks perfect. - One of the dinette back cushions had come loose. The screw hole for one of the plastic screws holding a cushion has stripped. He dropped some expanding glue in the screw hole - A running light had a bad seal - replaced the light - The range hood turned off when it sensed heat - removed the heat sensor. The sensor makes no sense as all. This is a common "fix". - The front storage bin had sharp metal opening edges and the rubber protective gasket didn’t fit. The door frame sits in the opening and is riveted inside and outside to create a channel. The inner had separated so the rubber gasket wouldn't sit right on it. He riveted the separated metal and seated the gasket. *The Hotel* - there are many within 30 or so minutes. We tend to stick with Hilton brands because everything is on-line. We stayed at the Home2Suites in Troy, OH. Troy is a great tiny town - good food, nice architecture. There are several small towns within a reasonable drive with history and interesting stuff to see.

@@EastCoastStreamers thanks we have the same trailer, we have it booked in for next spring (warranty items). Minor items about the same amount (6) but different things. The biggest thing is install of power stabilizer motor, which Im sure is easy for them to do. Again thanks for info.
