I've commented before on how dope and helpful your tutorials are bro; you're not Usain Bolt and speeding through the instructions and steps, which are awesome. Reading the Akai Manual is a MUST, but it's doesn't compare to the basic step by step tutorial, and your channel is one of my favorites when it comes to learning the MPC Live. Keep it up bro, and prayerfully Akai gets the message and sponsors you!

See I did a first sequence with a lot of sound on one track but from what I see here you separate them on tracks. Then I copy the sequence like three times but then I want to add some other sounds and on the other sequence and that’s where I mess up even with the tracks on other sequence because it still plays the first sequence
@mpclive5693

Do u have to use " Overdub" when using a new track or only for sounds you want to add to existing tracks? In other words must you use Overdub on a EMPTY track if other tracks have sounds on them? Thank you..I am new here.
@LiftedNoise
5 жыл бұрын
Good question. No you don't have to use overdub on an empty track if other tracks have sounds on them. What you do on one track will not affect another. Overdub is only used when you have notes programmed on a track and want to add to them, while record will replace the previously recorded notes with the new notes you are recording.

What is the difference between From BPM and BPM synch?
@LiftedNoise
5 жыл бұрын
BPM sync I believe works with warp to stretch/fit your sample to your sequence tempo, while from BPM will tune(change the pitch) your sample to fit your sequence tempo.

A YO Lifted! If i export from song mode in my MPC LIVE as 1 sequence will it just be locked into MP3 or can I bring it into pro tools as stems?
@LiftedNoise
4 жыл бұрын
Don't export from song mode. Convert your song to a sequence, then from your main screen scroll over too that new song. From here use the file icon at the top of the screen, export from here. You can simultaneously export stems as well as the whole beat, you also have other file format options other than mp3.
@poeticgeenetikstv4672

@@LiftedNoise after choosing to export the new sequence that I created, I don't have to explode tracks or anything do I, or should I just export stereo out 1 AND 2?

How do you change the melody in other sequences
@LiftedNoise

I would copy the whole sequence to a new sequence and it your track on the new sequence that has your melody. Sequences are independent from eachother so it won't affect the original sequence.
