I'm starting to dive deeper into DIY electronics, especially in the areas of hardware hacking and circuit design when it comes to music production gear like MIDI controllers and guitar effects pedals. To get started with this topic on the channel, I decided to crack open an Akai MPD18 MIDI Pad Controller to see first how easy it was to access, what the guts looked like and if it would be possible to attach a different input method to replace the pads at some point which have a reputation of not being very responsive when trying to play beats live (which I can attest to).
Overall this is a video about exploring electronics and tech, something that I think is very important; especially in this day and age. I would love to see others become empowered and curious about learning and taking control of their tech.
