Hi John and thank you for posting this video, which is an honest comparison. It has made me realise that I’m right sticking with my 7 HT’s and my SL20’s. Which are still going strong after many years hard work. To be honest I’ve mostly switched to fixed spool reels with finer lines but I still drag out my old Penn multipliers to make sure my casting is smooth. It was also nice to see you using the EasyCast as well. Would still like you to do a video on that cast and maybe the backcast as well. Kindest regards.

The Penn bearings are packed with grease when new if you cleaned them out it runs a hell of alot smoother and make the distance up!!

Nice review John thanks for that. Iv recently started using a multiplier, I got an Okuma alc mag and really like it, but would like something a wee bit bigger too so one of these might be good. How do they compare to ur old Diawa or are there any other reels on the market u would recommend??? Cheers.
