Joseph Stalin For an animation movie, probably one of the costliest of his time. But the one taking the top spot now is actually Steam Boy, and the biggest success was Spirited Away.

I like the soundtrack to this chase scene. Most chase scene uses hard rock or fast pace music to excite the audience. But this one is great; just to avoid the cliche.

Considering the main philosophy of the movie. It's very fitting. Truth to be told I was disappointed with the lack of synthwave at first but then after finishing the movie I grew to appreciate the soundtrack more

This is why dubs need to stick around. A visual Masterpiece like this does not deserve a second of someone keeping up with text at the bottom of the screen.

As a young Africa boy growing up on the streets of Japan, I learned a thing or two about motorbike gangs and how to be the best at what I do. They used to call me the Wolverine. We were poor and ate the local Wolverine population...damn near to extinction. But I digress, Pa was poor, Ma was always drunk, so we got Akira for Hannukah one year. I was hooked. I'd dress up as my favorite character every Halloween, you know, that creepy acid trip scene teddy bear. Cutie patootie am I right? Then it started. I stole so much candy. Japanese candy. So basically rice balls. Stole a whole salmon once because I felt like it. I even told the cops not to touch me cause I would get really, really mad if they did. Had my first lolipop that night. Badass. And yeah, I've been to prison. Didn't complain once. I just remembered this movie. I remembered the good ol days.

My hot take on this movie is that it wouldve been better if it was just bike gang battles like in the opening here. Once it got to the whole psychic powers thing I was just so disappointed because the initial opening action was so good

If its the one I'm thinking of, its the one by Streamline. They did the VHS version. I remember when I bought the re-release DVD of Akira, I was surprised since the dub was completely different/didn't really like it. Was hard to watch it considering I remember Kaneda/Tetsuo sounding a specific way.
