Hi Marc. Uke Newbee here, trying to decide on a Hi or Lo G, or a Concert or Tenor. Any suggestions?

Hello Captain! I like concert ukes, as they are a good middle ground, but I do have a couple tenors. If you have somewhat bigger hands,, you may like a tenor just for the extra fretboard room. Far as high vs low G, high G will give you that noted ukulele sound, whilst low G gives you more of a guitar tone, but it's purely personal choice. If you are just looking for something that won't break the bank, yet is of good quality, the Aklot concert mahogany is a good bet, or if you like something a bit less traditional, the Aklot concert bamboo uke is nice as well. Also, take a look at the Enya Nova concert uke. I take mine everywhere, and love it.

@@AxialFlux Thanks for the quick response. My computer was all set up waiting to order a Aklot. Looks like I may get more use out of the low G. Now a question of Concert or Tenor. Like the idea of concert for size but the Tenor has more warmth. hmmm?? Also thanks for Make suggestions. I dismissed the Bamboo, having had Bamboo flooring, of which ALL seem to separate after a couple years, fear the uke will do the same. Keep on playin!

@@AxialFlux do you have a preference of electric or acoustic concert ukulele? And are the electric ones usually high G?
