@@divingchicago Your comment makes me sad Not only are kids these days very talented, they're often putting out songs with social justice themes or messages, similar to the messages from the 60s and 70s. If the themes are similar it's because we didn't do our damn job and solve the problems. Some are adjusting vocals in the studio. Some aren't. We sound ignorant, old and out of touch when we make comments like yours. ... I have many friends in their 70s and 80s who have been making music since they were teens. They are all thrilled when they have the opportunity to play with young people. Not because they want to teach. Because they want to learn. Listen to some young people. Learn something.

HerminigildeB oh do shut the fuck up, your comment is such bullshit, in so many ways. The kids of today have zero talent and those that have so much as a smidgin of tone/voice need to be original with it instead of always putting out cover versions.

These are the gifts that The Divine Creator put in the children of the people who were enslaved, rejected by all other ethnic groups, jim crowed ,black codes law ,red lined and placed outside of gods grace by certain religious institutions and constituted as 3/5th human. Through all of that we still are able to produce this kind of excellence. Lord's knows what we could do as a people if was left alone and given a chance to prosper in this world and live in peace and harmony with true brotherhood for all. Min.,Dr. Al Green is truly gifted. I worked nights for a short time in a bar. Very few customers and I choose the music….it was always, I mean always either Al or Bob Marley. They called me BobAL.

This man changed my life, I was fortunate enough to be a a concert night in the California Ballroom in the UK back in 70's, he picked his head out of his dressing room and we said hi, he invited us in and we spoke about music and life, what a down to earth risk free star he was, we left feeling honored and like we'd left a more than special person

A musical blessing!! I can't say enough about the soulfull Al Green! He is one of music's soul giants. I sold hundreds of his Lps and 45' s back in the records store era of 125th Street...Harlem

Recently I commented on a Luther Vandross post that only Micheal Jackson and Marvin Gaye can sit in the same room as Luther....I completely dismissed the fact that I grew up listening to Al Green. For about a 5 year stretch no body could touch Al Green he was that popular as a singer just as good as anyone out at the time. Still in Love With You will always be in my head word for word my mother wore his albums out R.I.P. momma.

frmthesoulfiddle Yeah, Al's playing an Ovation and the accompanist is playing a Variax. Very cool to hear. He probably has it set on the Martin simulation although there is a Gibson J200 on there, too. Sweet.

I would really love to speak with the 380 people who dislike this. Really. To understand better how empty souls and cold hearts - not to mention damaged ears - think and feel. To prove each and every one of them wrong
