If it were not for Mr.Milrose's athletic ability that game could have gotten real ugly. Listen Michigan's defense line was controlling the O line. The center was rushing to snap because he did not want to be beaten. A different blocking scheme, if it were used in college ball a heavy weight back to aid the line on blocking. But a big mean fullback is a thing of the past. Up front a guard helping the center, then a big back moving up to smash the guards man or something like that. Could give you the one or two plays you all needed to win this game. As it were one play to go to a second overtime. Oh well next year. g

We were averaging damn near 7 yds a carry and then fourth quarter we just stopped for whatever reason
@jameson2916
9 ай бұрын
@@K.DatBamaBoi I agree about the Michigan game. It was a good example of all the bad things about our team this year. What I'm saying about our style is similar to last year when we had Jamhyr Gibbs. We couldn't run the ball at all because we had no passing game to open it up. That year it was a WR issue, Gibbs was our leading reciever so run or pass, all defenses had to do was watch the backfield and bottle him up. We couldn't get a running game going because of a lack of a passing threat. With Milroe it's different but similar principle. We're not hitting the simple wide open check downs or the easy routes like Bond crossing 10 yards across the middle right in front of Milroes face. And with the lack of a consistent passing threat, defenses can just watch our backfield with thier ears pinned back and stop whoever is running whether it's a RB or QB. We have to be able to punish the blitz and make defenses play 2 deep or we won't have success running the ball. With us bieng a team that runs the ball like you said, that cripples our offense. It's not like Milroe has to change dramatically or anything, it's the SIMPLE stuff. It's just kind of like Seth snapping the ball, its simple but after doing it so many times all year and net really showing progress, yu start to wonder if they're even trying to 👍
@K.DatBamaBoi
9 ай бұрын
@@jameson2916 I can actually talk football with you! Cuz you're correct, especially with the Gibbs thing. I had been saying that all year last year. But that's what we agreeing on. Just kind of probably saying in a different way we never had in the last 2 years that go get it receiver that dog and I think and don't quote me on this but I don't think Jalen has that receiver that he can just trust to be like close my eyes throw it in his direction and I think not having that for sure go to guy messes it up for anybody else that may come across his face are open because he don't have any trust in his receivers and that type of thinking leads to him. Not seeing that stuff because he's overthinking the simple stuff and going crazy to get that deep pass or that big play because in his head if he don't y'all already trying to call the next man up. That could be me but that's what I'm seeing. Like that's why he's so trusting going deep because the guy is wide open opposed to him in his head having to be so accurate and fit a ball in the window that he's thinking about ints. Cuz you got to think especially in the beginning with them not naming him and making him a legit starter. He messes up. He does anything wrong. The fans and probably some of the players and all that was trying to get him yanked so a lot of that was on his mind as well. It's like one of them pressure things where it's like if I don't perform to where anybody thinks I'm it. I'm going down the depth chart and that does mess with ppl. But when you have a for sure wide receiver that you know you can go to in a pinch which we ain't had in 2 years almost you can see why he's overthinking everything!
@jameson2916
9 ай бұрын
@@K.DatBamaBoi You could be right it could be in his head and he's trying to over achieve to prove himself and that may also be why he wants to prove himself as a passer instead of using his legs more. I just hope him doing too much don't end up bieng what causes him to move back. I wish he would realize that hitting those easy throws and completions would open the run up and make his job easier. I understand why they let the QB battle run on after the Texas game to give the other QBs a fair shot but it was kinda weird for them to trust Milroe all the way thru the Texas game and then bench him for USF. Especially with Rees sneaking his boy Buchner up to the #2 spot knowing he was trash. He was so trash we couldn't even get anything going against USF, not even a run game because they seen that weakness and didn't fear his passing skill. But soon as Ty Simpson finally got his shot and the Oline gave him time, he started making completions. Then what, here came the running game and got us moving like we should have been all game. Ty wasn't throwing bombs or anything its just making those simple completions that opens that running game up. I just wanna see Milroe hit those easy 7 yard check downs and wide open short-mid routes instead of keeping his eyes locked down field and taking a sack or running out for no gain. If the defenses had to respect his ability to get the ball to these super gifted WRs hands in space, it would back that defense off and make Milroes life so much better 👍

Well im most exited about ryan williams but it doesnt matter if you cant block which the last two years we havent been able to block a blocking dummy and our talent evaluation used to be elite its what kept up at the top for so long but our talent evaluation isnt very good anymore jacorey brooks was a five star and he just wasnt it so many misses agiye hall was a very high four star almost five star he left and i guess he isnt playing football anymore idk but our offensive line has to has to has to be fixed and they said this year it was gonna be fixed so idk if they dont know how to fix it that must be it because why would they intentionally let it be this bad 50 sacks this year almost thats with one of the fastest players in the sec imagine if mac jones played behind this offensive line itd easily be 100 sacks and bryce i think was sacked i think like 75 times last year so our offensive line continues to be our achilles heel

Jay Lindsey can damn sure block.. we got some good interior OL players too so hopefully the blocking thing changes.. we can grab another OT or snapper out of the portal too

CJ Dippre was the only person that was actually blocking against Michigan.. not sure about Robbie I didn't pay attention to him very much but CJ Dippre was doing his job.. Niblack didn't block worth a crap though neither did our center or majority of our OL

Dude just named 3 qb’s and only one won a natty (Tua) they didn’t get the majority of their national championships from those 3 qb’s … just saying

If Bama had a qb that could read a basic blitz coverage and hit a 10yard pass we’d be damn near unstoppable. Center sucks ass to.

What about defense, the tide is not scary on defense, with out it, no national championship.

Football is played within the ten yards at a time no more if you do this you will score and the time of the game period
