F1 should be V12, V10 or V8 atmo, 3000 cc or 3500 cc... Unlimited tires change and no refuel... Big large slick tires, sounds, speed, power, EMOTION, no traction control or electronic device or watsoever... Just man and machine et no fucking dumbass talking on the radio telling what to do and what not to do... Boring so muche these days...

Yeah but electronics do not prevent crashes... See Kubica in Canada 2008... Or Raïkonnen in Silverstone this year... What prevent crash now are the safety of the cars and track... But they still can make F1 fun and intertaining...
@MatPreaCher

Knapen Alexandre Accidents will always happen. What I mean is that now the only dedicated driver to brake, accelerate and push buttons. At the time of senna and prost was all the work of them, the man driving the machine.

Mat OneKnight Rather the opposite. Even before 1994 it was decided that the active suspension and electronic stability systems / traction control would be banned. What happened after 1994 was that the tracks got safer and the cars were even more limited since the turbo ban in 1989. But Senna and Ratzenberger had nothing to do with that directly.

People will never understand how good Alain Prost really was. Even those of us that lived through those years had trouble figuring out his greatness let alone those who grew up reading wikipedia. When it came to winning races and especially championships, Prost, for all of Senna's talent's was even better. That sounds so strange to some people, they've read a lot about Senna, they really know absolutely nothing about the man that beat him more often than not.

Great V12 sound! The difference between McLaren and Ferrari was 1889-1991 the paddle swift gearbox of the Ferrari so Senna still had to swich gears manual with stick, Prost use the lever behind steering wheel. Gerhard Berger had to accustom back to the old technology in 1990 on his team change from Ferrari to McLaren. However, all three didn't finish this race and Neson Piquet won with Benetton.

Well you know the sound of the car is not the main issue. Particular engine engineering made them sound like that. Talking about performance, however, cars those days were unimaginably more powerful, but modern day cars were downgraded so crucially, because of the safety issues. Do not think that modern day formulas couldn't go 400-450 km/h, because I can assure you, they could. Modern day Formula 1 has a huge list of restrictions when building a particular car. Therefore, it is important to know that during those days, there were very few restrictions on those cars and their manufacturers, it was unbelievably more dangerous to ride a car during that time, and it really took guts to drive a car that powerful. Today, every car you see on the track of Formula 1 is more or less the same, the race is happening in the pits - who will put the most suitable tires, will adjust spoilers better, who will choose a better strategy etc. And how much the drivers themselves are willing to risk to overtake cars that are as powerful as theirs.

I am fully convinced that AS was the greatest driver of all time, but it is fair to say that McLaren MP4-6 (1991) was the fastest car overall on the grid. Williams did have the upper hand mid season, but after Hungary, McLaren was again on top. In final few races it was more to track layout to decide which one would be faster. And in all fairness, it is right to say that Ferrari was no where near these two (except in Magny Course where they had the fastetst car).

do you know why though? there are two reasons, he was left handed so he always had his dominant hand on the wheel which gave him an advantage and when he downshifted he went all the way to the redline which gave him the most amount of engine braking and allowed him to brake way later than anyone else
