Under rated ? Alan Parsons have worked with Pink Floyd, Beatles and been engineer for some of their albums. Like Atom Heart Mother and Dark side of the moon. So hardly under rated. Not so known for the wide public perhaps.. but in music circles he is well known both as a mucisian and producer. Also Eric Wolfson created some magic when together with Parsons. The best albums are from the time they worked together as the "Alan Parsons Project"

We are listening some of the last alive generations. It is very rare to see now in 2021 bands with this quality of sound and production. In a world where everything rules over the money, it's rare to find a band with this quality playing alive, with same or even better sound than the studio version. Sadly, we are now renewing musicians in the same time as we are losing them. May we keep passing this to new generations, so they may know how good music truly is!

Amazing that he is actually singing too. He's primarily an engineer and producer. The nearest equivalent is having George Martin taking lead vocals on a Beatles' song.

If you were into the Beatles and Pink Floyd in the '70s, it's quite hard to have missed the Alan Parsons Project. Alan Parsons famously worked as an engineer on Abbey Road and The Dark Side of the Moon amongst other famous LP of the era. That all depends on where you grew up I guess and whether local radio stations played Alan Parsons work on the air. In Lebanon in the '70s where I grew up, The Alan Parsons Project was a staple on the airwaves along with Floyd, Elton John, Bowie, Electric Light Orchestra, Zeppelin, Beatles, etc...

I'd be honored if some APP & late 70s/early 80s fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performance of TIME PASSAGES by Al Stewart (a vintage Alan Parsons production) on my YT channel in tribute to one of the greatest songs of the era. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital editing. Thanks and RESPECT to the legends.
