Alan answers the most important question Phil and Matt had while planning the Demuxed 2020 live stream - What codec should we use? Presented at Demuxed 2020.
I only realised in the last minute that his left hand is a weird prosthetic one and I cracked up, went back to check and it’s been there the whole time. Thank you Alan

he's a genius. I believe he's one of the funniest souls on earth. the particular EGI E3 2019 video* regarding the illustrious Robbie Radcliffe is so perfect that I don't like showing it to other people. it's like when ricky fitz watches the most beautiful thing in the world in american pie. without spoiling it too much, it's a plastic bag in an alley. and i don't mean plastic bag like an old lady rubber/plastic cpr doll with no tongue. I don't mean plastic bag as in an old witch doll, like a crone, hag, or a henry stauf toy**. Anyways, the EGI monologue video was only funny the third time around when I stopped obsessing over how quickly his brain was adapting. i can't get into the tutorials and the wham city and the c4d and the bear film. alan's a force that hits my comedy zones very specifically. nathan fielder, tim heidecker, bob odenkirk, neil hamburger... i love them, but they just can't reach alan. i'm off to the races on a weird little thing again, but i guess i just think he's really cool, and i don't want to meet him because he belongs on my computer, after dark. plus i dont want to bug him because i dont think he needs to talk about himself. oh yea and i, regarding codecs, just use k-lite and media player classic (black edition) because it's tough keeping up with all of the shit everywhere and the new avengers joining the classic team. *the video is called EGI E3 2019 Ep 1: Alan Resnick on game development **Stauf would never actually work with plastic as he receives his sinister toy schematic visions only featuring dolls and games made of porcelain, wood, and timeless "old-world" ingredients. stuff like glass, marble, metal, real hair and alabaster or antlers or cloths untouched by mechanical devices

that was alin-tutorial. this is alin-resnick. its the "alin" thats making you become confused but thats is just something you have to work on for yourself and not really muddle the minds of others with. you have this concept in your head but it needs to stay in your head because if that little thought dribbles out of your lips and accidentally infects someone else now youv made 2 as dumb as you and that is about the most horrid. you must have thoghts like this often. they plague you, probably. your entire being plagued with these thought experiments that always end with the beaker fizzing over and your graygrey very gray matter 38% more carcinogenic.

Alan’s aesthetic is “something isn’t right.” Like, most of what I’m seeing resembles reality, but some time, not now, but at some point the fucking Tindalos doorway will open and an Eldritch monster will suck up the world. His hand is wrong. The history is wrong. The editing is wrong. The codec actual appearance is wrong. Some of the codecs are just wrong. But in between all the wrong is a shitload of right, just enough that it feels like maybe it should be reality. But something isn’t right.
