We are having a normal/traditional summer in San Gregorio California so far, lots of fog/marine layer. The ranch next to mine is called fogbound ranch, that says it all lol.Being 7 miles from the ocean, the fog usually burns off by noon so it’s a nice mix of fog and 🌞.Alaska is amazing, thank you for sharing its beauty with us.I might buy a cheapish minivan and start getting my feet wet traveling, I live in a very beautiful area but traveling is so good for the soul.

Great video and glad you had fun at the meet up. You met up with some great people it looks like. We finally got some rain as well. I thought it was cute with Ember doing the popping the head up and down. She was checking to see what you both were up to. My dog always does that too! It’s cute and funny! They do like to be sneaky. It was looking good with instant pot inspiration. Then it said to be continued. I will go watch part 2. The meal looked good! I’ll see you both soon.

Starting off the video with a group of bears hunting for salmon is always a good way to begin. I find it fascinating that some are content to stand there in the water until they catch one, while others seem to be fine with trying to go and steal another bear’s catch. It just highlights the fact that these traits are not human-specific, but are part of the animal kingdom as a whole. Hearing the other Revelers discussing their time with you must have been validating for you in that there were this group of people who just needed a bit of reassurance from the company of others in order to try something beyond their predetermined comfort level. Trying new things is easier when you have other people who can get you out of unfortunate circumstances immediately rather than being completely by yourself the first time something goes wrong. You gave them the ability to push the bar of their comfort limit further than existed previously, and that alone must give you a strong sense of accomplishment and pride. Seeing the diesel prices up there being a dollar more than they are here in Missouri hurt a little bit. I know your Revel gets better MPG than my 1999 F-250, but seeing that dollar amount shoot past $100 for a fill up is painful, and then you get punched twice because you have DEF you have to buy as well. Ouch. Seeing the brass on the ground really brings up an interesting point. Given the price of ammunition, I’m baffled that they didn’t pick up all of them for reloading. It’s markedly cheaper than buying new. I always pick up my brass for that reason. I don’t have all the equipment to reload, but I have friends who do and it’s cheaper for me to pay for the reload than to buy new from a store. Considering the resource scarcity up in Alaska where everything costs more anyway, it would seem to me logical for everyone to want to reuse the brass. Finding a place to camp for the night at a place where you can fully open up the Revel and have incredible views any way you turn your head is quite spectacular. Then add in that it’s also in a place where Ember can play nonstop in water, and it’s a win-win no matter how you look at it. Arctic Blueberry coffee is not something I would have ever thought to try, yet Cynthia exclaimed that it is her favorite. Now I’m intrigued. Why is it your favorite? Midland makes a decent radio for purposes like what you’re going to use them for. The range isn’t the best, but that’s not a particular problem given your circumstances. “This is as made as this bed’s going to get because today’s one of those days where I just want to crawl right back into it.”, Cynthia we all have days like that, some more so than others. To me, there’s nothing better than a quiet lazy day. Seeing Ember pop her head over an embankment several times throughout this video reminds me of Harbor Seals in the Puget Sound, only they do the same thing sticking their head out of the water to see what’s around them. Maybe Ember is part Seal? I’ve always called Seals, “Sea Puppies” because they all act like dogs anyway. I even had one jump onto the bow of my kayak and give me a look like, “What are you doing here?!” Did it jump off? Nope. It decided it was just fine right where it was and didn’t seem to mind me paddling for a while. Jim, where did you get that flag pole and how did it mount to the top of your van? I’ve been looking for aa decent flag pole for my RV and haven’t found one that will work due to extremely limited mounting points. It’s always interesting seeing what Jim will come up with for his InstaPot Inspiration. A good cook can take anything and turn it into something awesome, which you seem to do without hesitation. Well done! I’m so glad that you were able to achieve this meet up and have an awesome time with like minded people.

Thank you Brian! Our goal is to show bits and pieces of the interviews during the intro of each video because each day was an incredible adventure and it started off with people arriving early and the fun only continued from there. The brass was really upsetting, but considering it was just after the 4th of July and Alaska had a fireworks ban, people went out to. Shoot, but that was an expensive party and a complete waste. It's this part of Alaska that makes me sad, but that's everywhere you go. Arctic Blueberry isn't something I would consider tasting good as a coffee but it is smooth! When we add chocolate creamer it's like a desert breakfast. 😁. The radios weren't bad. We will show their use of course coming up, but next year, we have a different plan. Jim had a great time throwing that recipe together. He was fairly sauced by the time we decided we were hungry. That's my favorite part. It only gets better. Thank you for being here with us in all the ways Brian! This is why we fell off the earth for a month of so and it was totally worth it. We hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a great week. Talk to you soon. xo

Great videos. I want to go to Alaska . I have seen every other state as a long haul trucker. But that grey sky. F that. I could do a few days of it but after that it’s insert 12 gauge in mouth and blow brains out the back of my head. Jesus that’s depressing. Just a little sun every once in awhile. Don’t need a whole day of it but gotta see it once in awhile.
