On day 26 of our Alaska road trip, we say goodbye to Alaska one last time and head for Anhluut'ukwsim Lax̱mihl Angwinga'asanskwhl Nisg̱a'a (Nisg̱a'a Memorial Lava Bed Park) in British Columbia.
A short cut down the Nass Forest Service Road saves us a couple hours of drive time. We arrive at the Nisga'a Memorial Lava Bed Park campground with plenty of time left in the day to explore.
We learn a little about the Nisga'a people at the campground visitor center before heading out to explore the lava beds.
After exploring the lava beds, we make it into Lax̱g̱altsʼap just in time to catch the last tour of the day at the Nisga'a Museum, where we learn even more about the Nisga'a people and their culture.
After the museum we drive to the coastal village of Ging̱olx, hoping to find some fresh seafood for dinner, but everything is closed when we arrive.
Back at camp we attempt to start a campfire, but the only available wood is cedar that is too wet from recent rains.
