From educational hikes in the Kananaskis to climbing mountains near Nordegg to learning archery with Painted Warriors, we had a blast experiencing indigenous tourism around Alberta.
Working with the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada, we drove around Alberta to experience a variety of activities with indigenous guides and companies. First, we learned about various plants and flowers around the Kananaskis, then we drove to the David Thompson region to climb mountains via Ferrata, and then visited Painted Warrior's ranch near Sundre to learn archery, get connected with horses, and eat some delicious elk steak.
