A few showers are possible this evening, but most will stay dry. Warm and humid conditions continue, and it will get hotter throughout the week. We will stay mostly cloudy into tonight with lows sitting in the mid-70’s for your Thursday morning. More isolated showers and a few storms are possible in the afternoon and early evening, and winds will be breezy at around 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20.
In the tropics, we are still tracking Tropical Storm Alberto. It is expected to move west into northeastern Mexico, but tropical storm impacts are still expected along the southeast coast of Texas. It is causing strong winds out of the east creating rough surf offshore. A high surf advisory is in place through Thursday, a coastal flood advisory is in place for Thursday, a risk for rip currents continues through Friday, and a small craft advisory is in effect. Be sure to stay out of the Gulf waters through the end of the work week. More isolated storms are possible this weekend, but the most noticeable change will be temperatures climbing into the mid-90’s. We will stay hot until higher rain chances return to start the next work week.
