What happened to Fishans leg??? There's a great baby ellie rescue going on in Thailand on Save Animals channel. An abandoned baby with herpes showed up at a military encampment. I wonder if the herd sensed his illness. Tula is doing well and receiving great care ❤ 👏 👍 😊 Just like ellies at Elephant herd 😇👏👏👏✌

He fractured the lower part of it in 2018 after stepping in a hole while out in the bush(there’s many videos that explain what happened in greater detail)this is why he walks with a limp and sometimes has a pressure sore on the same leg.Due to his injury he typically lays down/sleeps with his left front leg(injury spot)bearing the majority of his body weight hence the reason for the pressure sore. It’s closely monitored though and is cleaned thoroughly by the carers as often as needed.

Do females spar for the position of matriarch or is it just understood?
@banjemine4150
Жыл бұрын
It’s usually understood that the eldest female of the herd would be matriarch - so that would be ‘grande dame’ Setombe at 37 years old. However, Adine mentioned a few weeks ago that Setombe’s leadership skills is not the best. So next in line at 34 years old is Tokwe, along with her ‘first officer’ Lundi, at 33. Those two make quite the team. We can all see that Tokwe is a formidable leader and commands respect from her herd. 🐘

What sweet gentle morning greetings for Sunshine from two of the most loving allomothers in the world and of course we can’t forget big brother hellos as well from Jabu,whenever he kindly says hi to Khanyisa I flash back to their early days together at the fence oh memories. It goes without saying that our Princess is the most protected little ellie in the world she has an entire court to cater to her every need she wants for nothing it’s Bravehearts world everyone else just lives in it😁😁Bubi and Kumbura constantly make me cry with the absolute devotion to their little one it’s pure magic seeing her with them there’s not a doubt in my mind that Miesekind has given them purpose by strengthening their individual bonds to each other but by also helping do what they love most giving her all the support and kindness they lost from their own trauma it’s truly so beautiful.❤️❤️🐘🐘

OmG!!! She melts my heart!!! @:23 seconds in...she's holding the carers hand while walking down to meet her elephant family. I literally felt the beat of my heart change when I saw this- like literally i mean smh this lil girl is just too much!!!❤️🤗 it reminded me of the days I'd drive my son (hes 31y.o.now) to daycare or walk my daughter (who turned 29 yesterday)to her school bus stop. They'd always feel more secure when we held hands. Almost a nurturing gesture I guess, idk lol I no seeing this created a rush of chemicals and hormones to my heart which made my heart do sumthin diff physically. So sweet❤️ ** u'v heard the saying...' my heart goes pitter patter' or 'he's heart broken' or other phrases concerning our emotions being 'connected' to r hearts, rite? Well scientists (n this was decades ago when I learned this) researched the topic and discovered that there really are hormones or chemicals or both together that flood the area surrounding the heart organ when these feelings of heart warming or heart broken, sadness, love, anything feelibg pertaining to the heart, even anger. They've proven that there really IS a physical change in that area, it's flooded with chemicals being released. When someone dies of a broken heart...they're saying traces of diff chemicals or hormones have been found around the heart upon autopsy. It's not just an old wives tale ...its a real thing😉👊🏻 Just an FYI lol Nothing important or trivial

Thanks for all the interesting facts you also share in the videos❣ May I ask: elephants have of course big and heavy bodies, but also four legs…nevertheless the way they walk sometimes looks a bit uneasy…is that because of the 'statics'? 😉 They bend their knees but often straighten them a lot which makes it look a bit like stalking. I daresay they have an elegance to them as well 🧡

Nice to see Fishon and know that his leg does better in warm weather which I do understand because I have arthritis due to dialysis and health too and I hurt the most in wet and cold temps. I have said this before and lease forgive me but, I really love how the elephants respect their Carers and Adine too and they do listen to command and requests too. I just love it so much. They surely also get a lot of exercise too which I think is very good for an elephant as they age. A little story, but first the why: I thought Fishan's bedsore had healed. When I was married to my ex-husband he got a sliver in his palm which became infected after he tried digging it out. I recommended he rinse it with hydrogen peroxide. Silly me, I thought he had the brains to know it only needed to be done one time but he did it at least twice a day for like three days and ended up looking like Jesus resurrected. He came to me and complained, "Kirsten! Look at what you made me do." Then I looked up at him, he's 6'4" and I'm 6'0," and smiled and turned away. Today he'd be called an idiot and to start using his brain for his own survival. Could you be over cleaning the wound? Also, hydrogen peroxide works on mouth sores after you bite your lip. Do not swallow it for crying out loud and use your common sense on when it is no longer needed. Usually after one or two days of rinsing with it after each meal you don't need it anymore. If foams up crazy and tastes not so good but it works like a charm. Consult a doctor because I'm not one. I'm only following family, step-family, home remedies.

Her face is truly a beautiful elephant face and when she is looking down at “her babies” she has the sweetest most loving, caring expression. Her body is perfectly formed, compact and slender. She moves so elegantly. Her legs are slender but strong. Her ears are perfect as are her long straight symmetrical perfectly pointed tusks.
