This is ridiculous Dr. Jojola is painting a utopian boarding school campus when reality is that the institution of these schools was based on policy of "kill the indian, save the man". The mere existence of this place meant the erasure and cultural genocide of some of the oldest cultures on Turtle Island. My grandmother spoke fluent Keres but upon returning years later to her home lands she lost fluence of her mother tongue and spoke only the English language. No matter of supposed "good experiences" these spaces were places were indigenous culture was disrupted. Period, Dr. Jojola. I'd assume with someone with your academic background you'd at least acknowledge this.

Coming from a Spanish background my ancestors were simple people of the land in northern New Mexico and my hope is that they were not involved in the eradication of your people's culture Aaron. I have to ask who do you think wanted the eradication of your people and why? And why do you think Dr. Jojola painted a positive light on such a dark situation?

Oh this video didn't and won't age well. Washington Post just published on what was going on with these schools. If there was the same thing going on as the other schools the abuse is real and happened here too
