Neige has always loved shoegaze, so if you don't like this, you don't like the very essence of Neige's music and Alcest. It's fucking beautiful, full of dreaming notes, come on.

This album is unbelievably gorgeous. I feel like it's received flack because of the black metal/shoegaze turned pure Shoegaze but I love it. Those shimmering melodies, the hazy sound, it sounds like some of the best shoegaze I've ever heard. Love it or hate it based on what it is (which isn't really deserving of hate), but don't hate it just because it's not black metal. He's just experimenting with sounds. I love it. Ready to see what he brings us next!

Is shoegaze hipster music? And what constitutes hipster music? If it's something different, then actually his older stuff is more hipster than this. He was one of the first to combine shoegaze and black metal. So souvenirs would be more "hipster" than this
@MetalHeadedNoah
8 жыл бұрын
+Cindy Villacis Molina Please define the term "hipster". Moreover, who cares ? What only matters is the music in itself, the way it sounds and the way you feel it. If you don't like it, well that's too bad, but hey, it's only a matter of taste. Personally I really prefer the older Alcest too, but I won't try to discredit this album by labeling it "hipster" or some other crap.
