Burlington Junction Railway is home to the only two operating Alco C415s left anywhere, BJRY 701 and 702. Both units were formerly owned by a dinner train in Oregon. 702 still wears the scheme of its former owner, but 701 was repainted around 2016 into the BJRY paint scheme. 702 is a difficult unit to catch in action, it works the BJRY line in Quincy and it's difficult to know what it will be doing on any particular day. 701 tends to run on a more regular schedule, working industries weekdays, and staying in action most of the day. Unfortunately, 701 had allegedly been out of service for about two weeks recently. It is uncertain when it will be back in service. with only 26 of these strange locomotives being produced, it is nice to see two remain in service to this day. I hope you enjoy this look at the C415s of Burlington Junction Railway. Video from October 28, 2021.
